This was just perfect for all of us. Our ten year old loved it and our 88 and 86 year old parents did too and so did we! It was covered canopy outdoors so it does not matter about the weather. The jokes were silly and funny. You learned about logging how the huge trees are cut on angles on the mountains and how they are carried downthe mountains. The "actors" were real men who could chop wood so fast and furious that chips flew like sparkes from a sparkler. They were winners of many competitions and they were just flat out fun to watch. It takes about an hour for the show and you really need to go. There is an AMAZING quilt shop across the street with all these super Alaskan fabrics and for the guys there is an Alaskan pub downstairs and a bookstore upstairs for you to relax and wait for the fabric shopping to be over :). All this is just a short walk away from the cruise ships which all dock right there (no tenders). This one you just need to add in to whatever else you are doing. Have fun!

“kitschy-kan it is not!”

i've read other reviews that say it is cheesy and that it is a good for kids only show but somehow, all 10 of us adults at that all agreed that it was good old plain lumberjackin' fun. if you dont know how to have simple fun and appreciate jokes and laugh at the silliest things, then this show is not for you. im not a big fan of dinner shows and i wasnt expecting much from this one either (although this is not a dinner show too) but i can honestly say that i had fun watching those young men "compete" against each other. it also somehow gives you an inkling as to what these lumberjacks do out there in the wild and i assume it is not easy.

“Cheesy is an understatement”

The cruise ship and travel guides make you feel like your visit to Ketchikan would not be complete without seeing the Lumberjack Show. Believe me, you would be doing yourself a favor if you skipped it. The show consists of 4 lumberjacks and a host. It is an hour long, but the jokes are so bad and the show is so hokey, you are ready for it to be over in 10 minutes. Another reviewer mentioned that even the kids are bored! You are better off saving your $35 per person and walking around downtown Ketchikan, which is lovely.

If you're going here thinking you're seeing a "must see in alaska" think again. This is probably great for young kids but a waste of time for adults. There's too much drama and comedy built into the show that makes it cheesy. Don't waste your time, see the city instead.

Very silly show in middle of town. Even children were bored. (Our cruise ship had accolades for the show) Sorry
