We had a great stay on our first trip to Ketchikan. We stayed in the Bunkhouse cottage (myself and my daughter). It was really well equiped with a nice little kitchen stocked with plenty of supplies - especially hot chocolate and oatmeal which were really appreciated when we can back after cycling in the famous Ketchikan rain! The Inn is on the Tongass Highway but we didn't hear any traffic as the inn off-set from the road and face the water. Its really best to stay out of town to avoid the cruise ship crowds. We did use the communal barbeque area (overlooking the beautiful estuary) for a Salmon bake one night (see attached pic). Jim and Nicole are great hosts and very welcoming. Thanks so much for a great stay!
Highlight of our trip was our cycle ride to Herring Bay for our first Bear Signting and , especially, the Hole in the Wall harbour and bar not to be missed! We'll be back!More
