Great sandwich and the soup was really great. I enjoyed the quirkiness of the surrounding business and the views of the Channel were great!

The food is always good at The Point. It's a little bit expensive, but I've never had a bad meal here, and the soups are imaginative. The African Peanut, for instance, is pretty good. The views are fabulous, and it's so nice to be surrounded by the gorgeous artwork. One thing I have never cared for, though, is the live music. It's too loud for the small space, and in order to have a conversation you have to raise your voice to be heard at your table, and that always makes me uncomfortable. It seems rude to be semi-shouting when someone is attempting to entertain you, but there's no way I'm going to meet friends for lunch and not talk to them. It's a restaurant, not a concert hall. Our group tries to avoid music days for this reason.

First, note that there is a free shuttle to and from this lovely little gallery/bead and yarn store/coffee house/cafe. It is in a beautiful location. Sip your latte (mine was delicious--thank you baristo!) from a window table and enjoy the beautiful scene on the water.
The Point's owner is local artist Terry Pyles. The staff there were lovely. Thank you to The Point for adding to our too-brief day in your beautiful town!!
