My husband and I just returned from Ketchikan and stayed here. The staff was wonderful, the room was clean and cute with a great view and a very good value. We would definitely recommend anyone staying here! :)

You will not soon forget a chance to stay in a former red light district. Jose, the owner was personable and welcoming and offered us an upgrade to a great loft suite that was right on the river. It was spacious and comfortable and had the wonderful sound of the water to lull us to sleep. Creek Street is lovely and has many buildings to explore and is within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and nature. The free wifi was appreciated as well as information for the local area. We spent a very enjoyable day and a half here and look forward to a return visit.

I stayed just one night on my way home to Anchorage and found the Inn to be top notch. I was there just before Halloween and Jose was quick to provide me with a complimentary ticket to the big Halloween Bash in town happening at the Civic Center that night. The room was comfortable, over looking the harbor. The bed was outstanding. My every need was taken care of from the pick-up and drop off at the airport ferry to the good advice on local attractions during my my short visit. I mange a large hostel in Anchorage and appreciate good customer service. I give my highest recommendation to The Inn at Creek Steet and New York Hotel! I'll certainly return on my next trip through ketchikan. Thanks Jose!

Located on Creek Street in nicely restored buildings, I stayed in the Preacher's House several days. It is quite comfortable. Located in "Old Town", it is on the edge of the main business district with shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. WiFi is above average. See the speed test that I posted.

We stayed here for 3 nights from 29 Aug to 1 Sept 2012. Jose, the owner was very efficient. Picked us up from the airport ferry terminal promptly. And then surprised us by saying he has upgraded to a loft suite. Can you believe it!!!

Our suite came with a big bay window that overlooked the waterfront, comfortable bedroom, spacious kitchenette, living room, bathroom as well as washer and dryer. This Inn is very near to all the attractions. Next door, is an Irish pub that serves amazing fish & chips. Jose knowing that we were departing for our cruise on 1 Sept, helped us to transfer and checked-in our luggages at the cruise ship registration desk on the said date. Couldn't ask for more, really. Thanks, Jose!

We stayed at the Inn for 2 nights Sept 12th (ish) and enjoyed our stay. Jose' met us at the ferry at 3AM and took us to the hotel. Steep Stairs!!! Got the internet password from him then ,good thing, as we never saw ANYONE at the front desk while there!! The room was great with a super comfortable bed, nice (though small) clean bathroom & a fridge & coffee machine.
The location is center city and close to lots of things by walking. We had to leave a day early anf Jose' picked us up in the am for a ride to the ferry that takes you to the airport (located on another island). Ferry to airport is $5.00 and cab fare there is about $12.00 if needed.

All in all a good choice to stay.

Room Tip: If there is a choice I was not aware of it.

We stayed in a loft suite overlooking the creek (Inn at Creek Street) on our first night it Ketchikan, then in a traditional room (New York Hotel, overlooking the wharf) on our last. Though only steps apart, the appeal is totally different but equally pleasing at both locations.

We enjoyed the loft for its quaintness... literally overhanging a rushing creek that roars when the tide heads out, is silent as the tide rushes in. Fun to walk the wooden walkways of Creek 'Street' to get to the loft. Nicely appointed and very comfortable.

Our room overlooking the marina was great, as well. Very roomy and comfortable. A great view of all the comings and goings of the marina... traffic noise was very tolerable and we slept with the windows open to hear the harbor activity.

Staff were very accommodating... Jessica was prompt picking us up at the airport ferry, Jose made sure we got to our outgoing flight, on time, with our boxes of frozen fish in tow. He even took us across in his van on the ferry directly to the airport door... thanks Jose!

Room Tip: If I had to choose between the two, I'd go with a Creek-side loft suite. A bit more pricey, but...
