Don't miss the Discovery Center in Ketchikan. A very well organized and informational Center that even the kids can enjoy. The staff was more than helpful.

Tons of amazing exhibits. Nicely put together. A lot of free information packets to take home. Very cool indoor rainforest!

My wife and I went through the Discovery Center in September 2012. They have a wonderful movie. We have a National Parks Senior Pass which got us in free. If you are not on a ship tour, this is a good way to spend part of your day.

This is a great location near the port. we went here and for a small entry fee, got to meet First Nations people, view various dioramas, see native art, and generally got a feel for SE Alaska. The gift shop was much too small, but had a lot of great items. All the staff was quite friendly and helpful. We would certainly recommend this attaction.
