“Good food, beer and lounge”
Reviewed March 17, 2012

They have a dining area, but I sat in the lounge/bar area. Down side was that they allowed smoking in that area. Nobody was currently smoking, but they had ash trays on table. Upside, food was delicious, atmosphere was very relaxing

I had the Cedar Plank Sampler with Halibut, Salmon and Shrimp! Still using that presentation back home in Florida!

“Not worth the price”
Reviewed February 10, 2012

We stayed here for a change for 1 night and will not return, the rooms was dirty, carpet thread bare. The room looked real tired and needed a spruce up. Not worth the price.

“Not like it used to be.”
Reviewed January 2, 2012

We're locals and we eat out a lot. Cape Fox Lodge used to be the place we went when we wanted a more elegant dining experience than that provided by the other restaurants in town. The dining room still looks nice and the service is generally pretty good, but the portions have been halved while the prices have gone up about thirty percent. Eighteen dollars for a chicken salad which is 89% lettuce? A small steak, a scoop of rice pilaf, and a small serving of vegetables for twenty-eight dollars? No, thanks. We were told on our last visit that dinner salads are no longer served with dinner---if you want a dinner salad, you have to pay extra. What's that about? It's not a cost-saving measure if it drives off the clientele, folks. Their coffee is good, their sourdough rolls are great, their creme brulee is excellent, but it's not enough to keep us coming back. The food overall is not of a quality to warrant the cost.
