While getting off of our cruise ship, we were met by Dave who was right on time. He proved to be a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide, giving us a history of the city, how it was laid out and many other details. While stopping at Totem Bight, he showed us around, provided many details and even showed us the plants and berries that the natives used (we did try some berries). It was the same for the next nature stop we did. At no time did he pressure us to hurry up or rush us along. At the end, he drove us through town and got us acclimated which was very helpful when we walked around later. We came to the conclusion that Ketchikan is not that thrilling a place to visit but it was a port for our cruise. This trip though did add a lot to our visit that we would not have otherwise experienced.
