“Excellent Way To See a Beautiful Town”
Reviewed June 15, 2012

The Land portion of the tour took us to most of the sights that you would see on a walking tour.
(We know because than we did the walking tour later).
The Water tour was a very nice way to see the town/harbor from a very different vantage point.
All the eagles we saw were great and we learned something about young bald eagles being brown, fluffy and effectively larger than their 3+ year elders.
Rene, our tour guide was fantastically enthusiastic!
Captain Ken did a solid job.

“Tour Was Lacking”
Reviewed June 11, 2012

The driver and the guide were extremely entertaining! The guide was very perky. But, I was in Ketchikan to learn about it, not to be just entertained. After driving through town-notgoing out of town to see the sights, we went into the water. The ramp is a bit of a distance from town, so a lot of time was spent going to and back to the ramp--really wasted time. The time wasted going to and from the ramp could be better utilized with more sightseeing. Would not recommend.

“Fun, easy way to see the port town by land and water”
Reviewed June 7, 2012

This was a great value. The vibe was fun...not another rolling lecture hall. Our captain was Ken and our great guide was Lee. It really felt like a couple of friends driving you around their hometown and sharing stories and cracking jokes.

They can load you on the amphibious vehicle right outside the cruise ship, give you a cozy blanket, and you're worry-free for the next 90 minutes. The door-to-door service was quite nice--no long walks, nothing strenuous.

“Promise of fun but fell flat”
Reviewed June 6, 2012

Low points:
Big sales pitch on the quackers (just include them in the price of admission & be done with it)
Facts about the area were presented like a bad stand up routine-maybe she was a new guide?
The pop quiz at the end of the tour, really, are we 2nd graders?
If she say's "Alllllriiiight!" one more time during this tour I'm jumping ship.
High points:
Captain Don (Willie Nelson) was personable -corny jokes worked for him
Eagle sighting & Fishermen posing with catch
