Owner description: Two wonderful tours to choose from! For our thrill seekers, board a four person Zodiac boat for an amazing, off the beatern path adventure. We like to call this "Power Kayaking". Stay away from the van rides you have to endure from other companies and join our boat rides to amazing scenery and wildlife. We outfit you in top of the line gear so you can enjoy the opportunity to drive the boat while following our friendly and knowledgable guide in a different craft. If boats aren't your thing, gather the family and experience the Alaskan Rainforest and rich native culture from your electric buggy. Grab your grandparents and grandchildren to roast marshmallows around our wilderness camp. This experience is for the entire family to enjoy together.

Trip started with a short and thorough orientation by Jeff our guide. He was a great guide, knowledgable and light hearted. Next they suit you up with everything you need to stay warm and dry. All the staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and made sure you had a great time. Then, you get into your own zodiac and away you go at a nice pace, stopping to learn about the historical significance as well as view wildlife. Saw harbor seals and eagles up close. Had a really great time, and the scenery was amazing. Would recommend it to everyone!!!

Our guide Jeff did a fabulous job of getting us up close to a humpback, bald eagles and seals. Having grown up in the area he had great stories to tell that made the whole experience come alive. He wasn't narrating or following a script - he lives Ketchikan every day and truly has a passion for the outdoors! Nice touch of a salmon snack and a cold local beer when we returned.

My husband and I had a great time on this excursion that we booked on our cruise ship .if you want to get away from the crowds and see the beauty of Alaska not to mention having fun piloting your own boat this is for you ! Our guide Paul was great at making sure we saw as much wild life as we could . Which included eagles , seals and even a whale . They provide you with every thing you need to stay warm and dry ( we went on a nice day so staying dry wasn't an issue ) they even provide really powerful binoculars . For my husband I think this was the highlight of our whole trip .

What a wonderful time we had! The staff was helpful and friendly, and Jeff our guide was the best! We were a little taken back when we realized during the orientation that were going to pilot our own zodiac boat, but that was one of the best parts of the trip! We got to dodge cruise ships, fishing boats and seaplanes. We watched bald eagles glide and perch, and Jeff even coaxed one to take a fish he put in the water. We looked for whales and watched seals sunning on the rocks, Jeff let us taste kelp and taught us about sea life and growing up in Alaska. Our only complaint is it had to end, so we're coming back and doing it again. This is an excursion not to be missed!

This trip is absolutely amazing. You can book through your ship or just walk on down and book at the store. I called at 8am and was booked for 1130 the same day. They outfit you with everything you need from socks to rainwear to gloves and a facemask. Our guide Paul was amazing he was extremely polite and showed us everything he could in the 2.5 hrs. I would do this trip a hundred times if I could bc you never know what you will see. We saw eagles seals starfish crabs and salmon. Others earlier saw whales also. The boats are awesome too very very easy to drive, id never driven a boat before and was comfortable in about 2 minutes on it.
