Had a very fun dinner here. Great old school Alaskan ambiance, full bar, and tasty food. Can't go wrong with the steamer clams! What a treat!! Prices were also very reasonable by alaska standards. Definitely stop by Louie's!

We have had great food sometimes, and so so food others. Breakfast is their downfall. Some of the worst gravy I've had. Very friendly though

We were tourists and we met some locals here for dinner at their suggestion. And a good one it was. Very unassuming from the outside. But very super club, outdoors Alaska on the inside. We had good fish for dinner and a nice cold beer to go with. They did not seem to mind that we spent over 3 hours sitting and talking. My only complaint was that to their chef sauted meant dripping in oil. I think I would have gotten less fat if I had ordered the tempura fried captains platter. Stick with the grilled selections. My husband's salmon was very good. Oh, and did I mention the sourdough bread? Absolutely delicious.

LOVE the clam chowder. And if you want to watch the game go to the Back Door Lounge for some awesome nachos and a cold beer, including local microbrews(which outshine anything you can buy from big brewers). If you're in Alaska and drinking Bud Light or Coors, you don't really like beer do you?

After stopping at Paradiso's and not having even gotten a waitress seeing us after being seated 25 minutes, we stumbled upon Louie's...what a treat! Prompt service, friendly and attentive staff, and good food. Place was crowded too but they provided wonderful service. Had shrimp crab melt with fries. Bar eating available alongside table dining. Loved all the stuffed animals hung throughout the room. Really enjoyed the meal. Felt like a 5-star place particularly compared to other places in the area. Do not miss Louie's whether you are planning to stay in Soldatna just miles away or on route to Anchorage or Homer.
