even though we did not stay at the lodge, we used his fishing guide service. fishing for king salmon is indeed a waiting game, be aware that no one informed us of Alaskan fishing rules. if you catch a king salmon, you cannot fish the rest of the day. this was not informative when booking. also the price of the charter does not even include ice to keep the salmon preserved...no ice anywhere...
also you have to pay a $5.00 fee to park every day, at $1000.00 per boat, this seems like nickel and dime to us... guide was knowledgeable and friendly. would not advise this guide service.
