Eric was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We absolutely loved the hike. Views of the glacier were amazing! Would much rather see it from this perspective than land on it in a helicopter. Eric's photography and videography skills are impressive. We finished a little early and got to stop at Alaskan Brewery on the way back which was also fantastic. Highly recommend!

We took the iPhone photo hike tour. Both my wife and I were really pleasantly surprised at how good this tour was. The advice on iphone and general photography was really good. There was great info on the history told in a really enjoyable way. Also, this was the most intimate tour we took in Alaska with a very small group. And the hike itself was really beautiful. This was one of our favorite tours in Alaska.

We booked Adventure Flow for our group of 6 as an alternative to the typical cruise ship excursions. We were looking for a bit of everything and Eric gave us all that and more. We were picked up on time at the pier and due to the rain began our day at the Alaskan Brewing Co. for a tasting of the local brew (very good) with a city tour along the way. There was water and a local snack waiting for us on the bus when we finished. From there we continued our city tour and went to The Mendenhall Glacier area and took the path less traveled hiking through the forest learning about the local flora and fauna along the way. The headsets worked well most of the time, but were intermittent at times, due to the rain I would presume, but Eric was sure we could all hear him along the way. The forest is just very peaceful and beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed the hike despite the weather. No bear sightings, just some signs of bear activity.
The glacier and Nugget Falls were both quite impressive and we were alone on the beach for much of our time there. With a little time left in our day we opted to let Eric show us the END of the road, and enjoyed a quick little hike up a hill to another waterfall. It was great day away from the crowds!! Eric is very knowledgeable and a great tour guide. He was easy to talk to and has had some great life adventures. Next time I would love to try his baking!! He is also an excellent photographer and took pictures and video along the way, which he sent to us via email!

First let me say that Adventure Flow is the best! I noticed this hiking adventure in June, but was dismayed to find that the hike left at 8 AM. Since our cruise ship was not docking until 10 AM, I emailed Adventure Flow to see if another hike was available for Sept 7. They checked the cruise ship schedules and moved the hike to 1 PM at my request!
We were met at the dock by Eric in the Raven, their black transport bus. Eric proved to be the best guide ever. He was extremely knowledgeable in Alaskan native history, geology, glacier science, botany, zoology, and photography. He was a wealth of information for us Midwesterners who knew almost nothing about Alaska. Since there were only two of us for the hike, we we were able to stop wherever we wanted to ask questions, take pictures, and simply enjoy the natural beauty that is Alaska. When we finally broke into the clearing overlooking Mendenhall Glacier and Mendenhall Lake, it was simply awe-inspiring.
This adventure is more than just a hike. It is a wonderful education, and an almost spiritual experience to see the beauty of nature and the power of God. Do not worry about taking pictures; Eric is an experienced photographer and takes many photos that are emailed to you in a few days.
You cannot go wrong with this Adventure Flow hike to Mendenhall Glacier. I would give Adventure Flow 10 stars if I could.

There were only two couples in our tour, so our guide Patrick had lots of time to spend with us playing show and tell in Juneau! We really enjoyed the sites that Patrick took us to, and enjoyed his commentary. Patrick has a great sense of humour!! The headsets were a great touch as we were able to hear him even if he was walking ahead of us. A super bonus is that Patrick took photos of our tour and emailed them to us the next day!! Most of the time in our holiday photos, my husband is in one and I am in the next one, rarely do we both get in the same picture!! This was excellent value for the money and I would recommend it to anyone.
