This company is in its first year of operation, but trust us, it is going to be around for a LONG, LONG time! Eric met us at the dock right on time as promised, and off we went. This is NOT a hike for couch potatoes... But it is not an extremely strenuous hike either for the first three miles -- Moderate and get your heart rate up works. We are both avid hikers and members of our local Search and Rescue Team, and we were for-warned that there would be about 1,500 - 1,800' of vertical over the first three miles or so, and 3,750' of vertical to the peak at five miles each way. Both accurate, but what a tour! Only the two of us and Eric, who is just a fantastic guide, naturalist and photographer (and they GIVE you ALL of the photos of the hike FREE of charge when done!). They are testing various sound systems to communicate with and we had a few problems with ours, so we told Eric to just dump the sound system and speak with us, as we were always within about five feet of him. We hit some back trails, visited the glacier, shot photos of the creeks and river, forded three streams, and just had a BLAST! Adventure Flow provided light day packs, snack bars and chocolate, fluids and water, and a poncho for rain. Bring your own Gortex gear and hiking boots -- Adventure Flow provides everything else. Most importantly, we were back at our ship in plenty of time to stop and purchase a nice bottle of wine in downtown Juneau to celebrate our outstanding day, and sail off into the night. We cannot say enough positive about this company, the hike, and especially Eric!

I can only say that our afternoon hike to the glacier exceeded all of our expectations. Eric did an amazing job from beginning to end. As part owner of the company he paid attention to every detail of the day with great care. We were provided comfortable backpacks with water and healthy snacks, great quality headsets so that we could hear all of the interesting info Eric had for us while still being able to spread out on the trail, and as a really special touch he took photos of our hike and sent them to us as a gift from his company. The hike was gorgeous and just challenging enough to feel like a bit of an adventure. Along the way it became obvious that Eric is incredibly knowledgeable on many subjects and because of that we learned so much about everything we were seeing. But there was quiet time encouraged too...to just stop and take in the breathtaking scenery. We had an amazing hike!

Eric was a wonderful guide, very friendly and easy to talk to. He is well versed in the history of Alaska and Juneau as well as current events. He was easy to hear despite some technical difficulties with the wireless mike system. He was open to questions and flexible as to what we were particularly interested in.

Juneau is hilly and the tour lasted a little more than 3 hours so it requires some degree of exertion and mobility though there were frequent stops including one in which we sat in a park and ate some snacks that Eric provided.

This tour is smaller and more personal than many other similar tours when one is based on a cruise ship. I would highly recommend it for anyone interested in learning more about Juneau through a pleasant walking tour.

We had Eric (one of the owners) as our guide. He was nothing short of phenomenal, such an intelligent, well spoken interesting person. The tour took us off the beaten path to one of the most beautiful views of the glacier. When we got there he had healthy snacks and a zen like breathing exercise. Thank you adventure flow and Eric.

As we discovered on the tour, Juneau is a little gem of a city --- what San Francisco must have looked like in 1890 with lovely, colorful little cottages clustered tightly on the side of the mountain. There's history here both from the early 19th century; from the Russian missionaries of the Orthodox church who, adopting the Tlingit language, won over many of the native people. (There's a fantastic, compact 6-sided Russian church just near the Catholic "Cathedral". Ever seen a Russian icon in Tlingit?)

Really well organized. Patrick is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. The wireless headphones let you pause to look at the things that interest you without losing track of the commentary. The photos Patrick takes of the family are really cute. Even a little backpack with water and treats.
