“OMG it's delicious”
Reviewed August 29, 2014

I typically don't eat crab for health reasons but when in Alaska do as Alaskans....
This is an actual shack (or series of shacks). First you order at one shack. Then you can go watch them cook. If you want beer it's another shack. And finally the "big tent" where they bring you your order. We had a crab sandwich and crab "cup". (I was being a wimp and didn't feel like cracking legs and digging for crab meat.) It was absolutely delicious.

“Great Crab - Pricey - Can Be Very Crowded”
Reviewed August 28, 2014

Just ate at Tracey's for the second time in a year. They have moved to a new location nearby. Look for the "Tracey's Crab Shack" sign hanging above the sidewalk in front of a retail building on the "cruise ship side" of the street. The new location has covered seating for about 100 people. On my most recent visit we were the only ship in town. The covered eating area was nearly full. Add a second ship and I suspect it would be crowded. Add a third ship and the crowd would be very difficult! The crab was excellent but priced on the high side. The $5.50 I paid for an Alaskan Amber on draft was very reasonable. The cashiers and servers were somewhat helpful. I would rate Tracey's as "Very Good" if one cruise ship was in town. "Average" if more than one ship was in town.

“Tasty, but busy and pricey”
Reviewed August 27, 2014

As others have said, the food is good. But the price is high and the place gets PACKED when it's busy with no place to sit. When it's raining and there is no where to sit inside the tent then it's a big hassle.

“Don't Miss This Place!”
Reviewed August 27, 2014 via mobile

If you love crab, this is the place to go! We just happened upon the restaurant and it was the best crab I have ever had....and the biggest. Pricing is fair for the quality of food. I swear I would travel back to Alaska just to visit Tracy's....it's THAT good.

“Best crab you will ever taste!”
Reviewed August 27, 2014

We enjoyed a very memorable meal at Tracy's. It's a busy place, but once you taste the food you won't wonder why. The crab is unbelievable! Try the bisque and the crab cakes too! They also serve great local beers, and the employees are very friendly and helpful. I can't wait to return for more!
