“Best crab in the World!!!”
Reviewed August 3, 2014

We went back for the king crab legs two nights in a row!!! They were sensational. Love the atmosphere. The staff were such fun as were the clientele. The setting was fantastic right on the water. We had such a great time. Mind you we did try many other dishes which were also fantastic but our favourite had to be the king crab legs. Tracy you have achieved perfection in our eyes.

“A MUST when you stay in Juneau”
Reviewed August 3, 2014

Yes, it's pricey. Yes, they gouge the tourists. But it's so worth it! Save up for it and count it as part of your vacation budget. Make sure you get the plate! The one with the leg, bisque, crab cakes and bread. AND get an Alaskan Amber with it for God's sake!! Get yourself a t-shirt while your there, you won't regret it later. Oh and I was just at Costco yesterday and the king crab legs were $17 lb! So Tracy's isn't gouging that much.
Go! Eat! and enjoy it! It's a fun place. Pouring pouring rain when we went and it was good fun!

“No tap beer?!?!?!?”
Reviewed August 3, 2014

Yes, overpriced...but so is everything when you are a tourist in Alaska....on to the review.

We were very confused WHERE the "restaurant" actually was from the street (you have to wake thru a store). Then, there's no sign where or how to order. I was told to order in a different "shack" so we tried some soup and crab cakes (crab was too expensive). The sign read "Beer on tap". I was told they were out of Alaskan Amber, HUH, out of beer? so I ordered a different Alaskan beer. Then I was told to pick up my beer at a different location and sit down and they would deliver the food. I was given a BOTTLE of beer. The only thing they had on tap was an IPA, which I don't drink. They don't tell you that you get a bottle, even though the sign says beer on tap. We sat down at a bench, looking for napkins; they don't have any, but we spied a roll of paper towels on another table. Then they delivered the food, it was tasty...but WHY does the sauce always have to be a HOT sauce. What's wrong with tasting the food, not the heat. Sorry, red sauce masks the taste.

Save your money...walk in, look around to say you were there, then eat elsewhere. "SHACK", yeah, good name...it's all outside on picnic tables and benches.
