“Great whale tour with Captain Larry and crew”
Reviewed July 11, 2014

We did the Orca Enterprises whale tour the morning of July 1 2014. It was fantastic. Captain Larry was a great host and his crew was very informative in describing whale behavior. We were viewing bubble feeding and the crew could call almost exactly when the whales were about to surface to get your cameras ready. What a great day.

“Best Day EVER”
Reviewed July 10, 2014

We were on a Disney cruise and wanted to go on a whale watching excursion. Our AAA advisor told us about Captain Larry and Orca. This is the best money we ever spent. This is not booked thru Disney, but directly thru Orca. We were taken by bus to the bay. The driver was told us a lot about Juneau. The boat was really nice. Nice seats, plenty of room, windows that opened to take pictures, porch on the back to take pics, porch on top to take pics from when stopped. Capt. took us thru Glacier bay, where we saw eagles, Stellar sea lions, seals, and humpback whales. AMAZING. The crew were as excited as if the whale sighting was their first. When we got back, we got back on the bus and went to Mendenhall Glacier. This was so beautiful. We got to walk on the beach, take pics of the glacier, my daughter picked up a piece of iceberg. We went to the observation building and while there saw a mama bear and two cubs come out of the wooded area. The mama grazed, seemingly not afraid of the people. The park staff was great keeping tourists and bears safe from each other. Just the most perfect day ever.

“Great whalewatching Experience”
Reviewed July 7, 2014

The last time we cruised in Alaska, we went through our cruise line fro whalewatching. We loved the experience, but this time we wanted a small boat. Based on reviews, we decided to try Orca and loved the experience. i highly recommend that you book your whale watching through Orca and Captain Larry. The boat had less than 20 passengers and thus all of us had a great view. Captain Larry knew where to find whales and we had a great viewing experience--including watching four whales doing bubble netting. The real highlight of our experience was the enthusiasm (and knowledge) of the entire crew. They knew a great deal about whales nd clearly loved these wonderful animals. Highly recommended.

“Best excursion of our cruise!”
Reviewed July 6, 2014

Don't bother going through the cruise line - book Orca Enterprises direct and get a much more personalized experience. Felt like I knew Capt. Larry through email before we even arrived - worked with us and our party of 8 - scheduled us around our ship's arrival (they don't work through the cruise lines which saves you money!). Only about 16 of us on the boat so we didn't have to jockey for viewing space. Larry really does know where to find the whales and has a network of "watchers" out there too. We started with a group of humpbacks bubble-netting some crill - a fascinating thing to watch -- then zoomed north where a group of orcas was reported. Capt. Larry found them easily and we spent quite a bit of time just watching the ballet is the water. No other boats around. Especially appreciated Larry's obvious love for the animals and concern for their health and safety. I HIGHLY recommend their tours.

“Best Trip Ever!”
Reviewed July 4, 2014

Stopped in Juneau on our Disney Cruise. Both our helicopter trip and our fallback seaplane trip got canceled due to fog and weather. Thought the day was shot. Went to the info booths at the docks. Booked this trip last minute, had no idea what to expect. Found Captain Larry and Kelly to be wonderful!! We saw the sea lions lounging on the buoy. After about 15 minutes, we located some humpbacks, got great pictures pretty close up. Then, Captain Larry got a radio call about some Orcas feeding, took us to see that -- again great pictures and views close-up. We went back to see the humpbacks. We were treated to a rare sight, the humpbacks bubble-netting (worth googling). I got some movie footage of the whales coming up out of the water with mouths wide open collecting fish!!! We spent about an hour of a 1.5 hour trip actually seeing whales and orcas. Became an unforgettable time of what started as a washed-out day.
They were very conscious about getting us back to our ship on time - a big concern for us since the excursion wasn't booked through Disney. They even dropped us off right in front of our ship.
Just can't say enough good things about the entire organization!!!! We'll never forget this amazing trip!!
