“Whales aplenty!!”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

Had a wonderful time with Captain Larry and Kelly. We saw orca whales and grey whales. Kelly made it so much fun with her enthusiasm. She carried on everytime a whale was spotted, it really added to the excitement. I would highly recommend going with Orca. Great time and a great crew.

“Whales galore!”
Reviewed September 17, 2013 via mobile

Went with Captain Larry and Kelly who has excellent eagle eyes for spotting those whales. Scenery was awesome by itself. A bald eagle posed by the dock before we left. Our first sighting was a rogue Orca. We saw at least a dozen humpbacks. I'm very glad Captain Larry is involved in protecting these creatures from over zealous boat captains. They are truly a treasure. Overall, it was very informative.

It was a true pleasure to whale watch with Captain Larry again. He delivered an abundance of whales as well as an abundance of good memories. This tour was just as good as it was 12 years ago. Highly recommend this tour

“Momma and baby whale breaching--TOO COOL”

Read reviews and decided to go with Orca. There were only 12 people on our boat. Plenty of room. Saw several humpback that just took my breath away .Would have loved to have seen orca but maybe next time.

“Excellent tour”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

We weren't sure whether we wanted to take a whale watching tour while in Juneau, but since we hadn't seen any whales by 2 days before our arrival we decided to do so. I emailed Orca and they responded promptly, notifying me of availability, cost and booking our reservation. They were extremely responsive and courteous, as were all of the staff we encountered during the tour.

The office is easy to find off the ship and everything ran on time without feeling rushed. Our boat was half empty so plenty of room to move around, and you could see very well both from within the cabin as well as, of course, out on the decks. Kelly and Captain Larry were both great - very friendly and fun, and shared good information along the way.

We had an amazing tour the day we went. Saw bald eagles near the boat as well as on our way out of the bay. Then we quickly stumbled upon a pod of transient orcas, babies included. It seems the crew were as surprised as we were to see them. We were able to watch them for a long time with Kelly providing lots of advice and information as to whether to stand, how to take pictures, etc. We also saw many, many humpbacks on the trip, including babies. All the whales were diving loads and were close to us so everyone got great pictures. Kelly's enthusiasm just made the trip even better. This is my 4th whale watching trip and by far the best one, both for the crew and the watching itself. We also saw sea lions along the way, and they served snacks in the cabin.

Highly recommend this tour!
