“Good For A Beer and a Meal”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

The place is on the water front and is popular for both tourist and locals alike. I would suggest you make reservations during the summer, it fills up quickly and stays busy thru the day. Its not cheap, and its not fancy brand new. You don't have to dress up. Its usually very loud and busy. There is a sliver of an outdoor seating area, but you'd be lucky to get one of the 4/5 tables. The view is nice, even when its not really nice out. The food is usually constantly good, you can count on your food tasting pretty much the same as it did last time. Upstairs is a bit of a odd dark area. A few pool tables and small awkward uneven booths. I wouldn't sit up here if its hot out, as it will be even warmer up there. If you want a calm place to talk, not your place. The sounds echo off the industrial design. I work across the street and eat here about 1 week. My new lunch fav is the Salmon Rice Bowl. Small groups of 4 or so is good, larger and you may have to wait for a table.

We visited the Hanger a couple of times on our Juneau visit. The food was yummy. One afternoon we sat at a bar facing the channel, watching float planes take off and land, a cruise ship depart and a humpback whale cruising. I say this was sublime!

“Noisy, generic, not a must do by any standard”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

Big room, big crowd. Typical surf and turf menu. The staff tries hard, but the place is just noise and more noise. You won't remember it 10 minutes after you have left.

“Excellent spot!”
Reviewed August 4, 2014

We had an incredible meal here! It was fish & chips, and fish tacos. Both were generous portions and amazing! I would strongly recommend this spot! Also, while talking to our server, I found out that the owners are only closed on thanksgiving & Christmas. They only do this because they open their doors to feed People In the community that are less fortunate - a hot meal is provided for all that wish to participate. The kindness also comes from the local patrons during the year that pay their bill, then leave a tip for their server, then also put a little in the pot for this special event. I love this! Changing lives, one meal at a time!

“a so-so place”
Reviewed August 4, 2014

Service was very slow. appetizer came and a minute later, the main dish. Seemed to be more focused on getting us "in and out" than being sure we enjoyed our time, and meal, there. Would not go back.
