“Good Selection of Soups, Salads & Sandwichs”
Reviewed September 14, 2013 via mobile

Not a fancy place but the food is good. Homemade soups are delicious. I had a spicy Thai soup. Salads are very generous! I ordered the small, which was large. Others in our group ordered the large, which were huge. One orders at a counter and food is picked up when your name is called. Prices are reasonable.

Hey there- Thank you so much for stopping by our Tripadvisor page to leave us some love! We very much appreciate the feedback. You'll have to come back sometime soon to experience our newest feature: Table service! The days of picking up your salad at the bar when your name is called are over. It's very exciting. :)

Until next time!

“Locally created and grown business”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

Very good choose your own sandwich makings on bread or bagel, homemade soups, salads. Beer available, as well as coffee, expresso. Nice low key dining area, and a cool small mural depicting the circuitous path of their business from founding to today. Unique place. Recommended.

“Nice toasted cheese”
Reviewed September 2, 2013 via mobile

Stopped for breakfast. Was hoping for more pastries but as there weren't any that appealed went for a toasted cheese. Really cheesy and delicious. Coffee fine. Ordered a bagel with cream cheese to take out- pretty big and nice&chewy.
Would have been nice to have been able to sample some of the bread with spreads for breakfast or to have proper cakes & pastries- a lot of stuff in plastic-but maybe there was less selection as it was labour
day or maybe my expectations were of what is typical in an European bakery?

Very good wifi- much better than where we were staying!!! Plus it was quiet so could enjoy a relaxed breakfast.

Thanks for visiting and taking the time to comment. We are glad you enjoyed what we call "grilled cheese." It is made from three different cheeses and put on the press to make all warm and bubbly. Sorry you missed out on our pastries. Maybe we had already sold out. Our bakers put out fresh lemon poppyseed bread and cream cheese iced banana bread today. Next time! Cheers.

“Bagels!”

Great place to eat. A bit old but great food-they have a few vegetarian options, take out the some cheese and there goes a vegan option. Cookies and awesome too!

We are so glad you wrote and enjoyed the Silverbow. You are very correct. The business has been in operation for over 100 years. Hopefully, you were able to try our sourdough bread which dates back to the gold rush. Its made fresh daily and is our most popular bread for our tuna melts.

“Great eats!!!”
Reviewed August 8, 2013 via mobile

Worth trying to find a parking place for! All their stuff is fresh! Breads, bagels, cookies, sandwiches, soups were all fabulous! They get busy first thing in the morning so you might get caught in a line but the wait is worth it!

Yippie, thanks for writing. We love hearing that you love our stuff. It is true everything is baked fresh. The bakers come to work at 10 pm to get everything out of the oven by 6 am. Breads, 16 varieties of bagels, coffeecakes, scones, brownies, cookies and more.
