“A Juneau Gem”

Thanks to TripAdvisor reviews, my partner and I chose the Alaska's Capital Inn Bed and Breakfast for our stay in Juneau. The Inn itself is a beautifully restored craftsman style house, graciously appointed with Stickley furniture. The floors are covered with exquisite Oriental rugs. We stayed in "John's" room with the high king-size bed and claw-foot tub and views overlooking the city of Juneau. Breakfast every morning was a culinary masterpiece. Linda and Mark were exceptionally generous and engaging hosts. And McDuff, their brindled Scottish Terrier, added to the friendly ambience of the Inn. We were delighted with our stay at Alaska's Capital Inn and recommend it highly. Kathryn Arnold

Room Tip: All of the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and lovely. You can't go wrong in choosing any one o...

I was here for 6 wonderful nights. The accommodations are excellent, and the breakfasts are superb. But most important, Linda and Mark are extraordinarily nice people. I cannot describe how thoughtful and friendly they are. If you need advice on what to do, what to see, or where to eat, they are awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

We stayed at the Capital Inn Bed and Breakfast for 3 nights last week and we enjoyed our stay so much. Linda and Mark go out of their way to make you feel at comfortable and at home. We stayed in Klonda's room which was quiet, comfortable and had a private entrance. Each morning we were greeted by our hosts who were busy cooking up a full blown breakfast - including fresh muffins, fruit, eggs, ham or sausage and even dessert! I would fly to Juneau just for breakfast alone at the Capital Inn!

Room Tip: The inn is located on a small hill a few blocks from the downtown cruise ship docks, so the noise fr...

We have spent 2 nights in this very nice B&B, centrally situated in Juneau. Linda and Mark are great hosts and also great chefs in the kitchen. Breakfast is superb - on a fixed time with the other guests - with the pancakes of Mark and the bakery of Linda. The whole day you can enjoy Linda's bakery, there is always something on the table (danger for eating too much!!). In the afternoom also drinks, including wine, are available for the guests. Unfortunately, we missed the breakfast on the second day, due to the early leaving ferry, but Linda prepared breakfast boxes for use on the boat. We can absolutely recommend this accomodation, although the room rates were the highest during our month stay in Alaska. The hosts have a lot of knowledge about the area which you can benefit from.

I celebrated my birthday in this heartwarming bed and breakfast. The proprietor prepared a wonderful dessert for the occasion. Guests willingly shared their experiences while eating a delicious breakfast, and also during a relaxing evening gathering. The stay was cordial, quiet, and restful in an exceptionally clean B&B. I have no doubt that I would return to Alaska's Capital Inn Bed & Breakfast. John J.

Room Tip: Harry's Room was quiet and comfortable. I would like to stay in that room again!

We have just spent a week at the Capitol Inn, and definitely recommend it. The building is interesting, the location is close to downtown with some fun views of nearby hills, and the breakfast is terrific. Overall, we've been very comfortable. Be prepared for bathtubs (shower inside ... I found it difficult to use with no handrails and limited foot space). The garden is beautiful, but unfortunately our room had sort of temporary curtains that we couldn't really get to stay open. Linda was very helpful setting up activities for us. Perhaps the only real difficulty was that we tended to stay sitting around the breakfast table stuffing ourselves and talking to the other guests instead of getting out and doing something.

Room Tip: the garden-level rooms are very nice but you will need to go up and down some outside stairs. We fou...

We spent our two nights in Juneau in this fabulous Bed and Breakfast. Linda and Mark are wonderful hosts who provided an over-the-top breakfast for us our first morning, and then because we had to leave early the next morning, they packed us a wonderful breakfast to take on the ferry with us. This B & B is located one block away from the state capital building, which is definitely worth touring and one block away from Juneau's museum, also worth a visit. The B & B provided a corporate card to the Ariel Tram that allowed us free access. We had a great lunch up top with a spectacular view of the city. Our room was clean and comfortable. The queen size bed was great. If you have trouble with stairs, ask for a ground floor room. We were welcomed back each night with a glass of wine and a snack. The home was filled with wonderful art and great decorations. A truly wonderful experience.
