“Juneau Whale Watch”

I had scheduled a tour months before our trip with another tour group. Our tour was scheduled for 7:50 am on a smaller, more private watch, but at 7:50 I was notified that our trip could not be accommodated. I was referred to Juneau Whale Watch Alaska. We zipped downtown and talked to Trent Wilson, who was able to get our group of 15 on a tour. Great tour and was able to see two whales breech. The highlight of our seven kids Alaskan tour.
Thanks to Trent and the great crew on-board!!!!!

“Whales bubble-netting...a sight to behold”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2012

This was my third cruise to Alaska but my first excursion whale watching. My friends and I were hoping to see a whale or two and did not expect the unbelievable experience we had on this tour. I agree with Gary P who wrote, "superb guided narration and whale watching". The naturalist on board was terrific...she knew so much and her voice was clear and easy to understand, which is not always the case when you are part of a large group.

The boat is good sized which is important for those of us with a fear of the water. Snack bar is good and there are plenty of outdoor viewing sights. We saw a whale or two and a few seals before the naturalist alerted us to keep our eyes on a flock of birds circling the sea. All of a sudden...without warning....10 humpbacks and a baby whale surfaced at once! It was a breathtaking sight; a pod of whales circling a group of herring is called bubble-netting and the naturalist told us we were fortunate to witness this incredible sight.

I recommend this company for their professionalism, the knowledge of their staff and for how hard they work to make sure one has every opportunity to see whales, seals, wildlife, etc while on board their vessel.

“Majestic animals.”

To see these beautiful creatures interacting within their group was truly amazing. We were also fortunate enough to see many seals lounging around as well as bald eagles hunting for lunch.

“Superb guided narration and whale watching”

This wonderful catamaran tour of Auke Bay includes many opportunities to see and photograph the whales. The naturalists on board do a superb job of describing the wildlife and their habits and helping enjoy, view, and photographing the wildlife. On board, you will see lots of whales, local Alaskan wildlife, absolutely beautiful scenery and perhaps those majestic bald eagles. We saw all of this, and more, on our two hour cruise through and around Auke Bay. Highly recommended as a cruise excursion when you are docked in Juneau. You board the bus at the dock of your ship...what could be easier?

“Amazing adventure, a not miss!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2012

This was our second trip to Juneau on an Alaskan cruise. We opted to do the whale watching expedition. Worth every penny!!! Humpback whales were everywhere. The small boat maneuvered within 100 yards which is regulation, but the whales wanted to check us out!! One surfaced 10 feet from the boat. It was awe inspiring, and humbling all at the same time. If you love adventure, and love wildlife, this is a must do for all ages!!
