“Well Worth A Visit”
Reviewed July 26, 2014

Enjoyed dinner here, the food was very tasty. I had the paprika steak and potatoes, delicious, but needed a vegetable accompaniment. My companion had two small plates, collar of salmon and halibut buns, both delicious. Well worth a visit. Pudding was delicious, blueberry tart and lemon cream. Too big for one!

“only counter service for lunch”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

decided to stop here for lunch after hiking rainforest around Mendenhall Glacier with wife and 2 adolescent children. I had checked out the supper menu so I was a bit disappointed to see that they just have counter service for lunch with sandwiches, salad, or soup options. That being said, the food was excellent. My wife and I shared a Cuban sandwich and beet salad and both were great. Great cup of Chai, had to get a second. Don't remember what the kids got but everyone was happy. My daughter got one of the cookies that was just fantastic! It was $63 for the 4 of us. Seemed to be visited by local folks.

Went here with 2 friends last week. The chowder was good but not the best ever, however I then had the salmon collar which was succulent and tasted great.....cooked to perfection. Service great and we had a beaut table by the window.

“Wonderful any time of the day”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

We stayed in Juneau for 5 nights and The a Rookery was our go-to place. Best espresso in town. Nice lunches with excellent soups and salads. And their dinners were excellent. The scallops in coconut milk and squid in were superb. The cedar plank cooked salmon was excellent. We loved the food and the ambience and the service, more casual in the day, was always good.

“Great little restaurant and cafe”
Reviewed July 17, 2014 via mobile

We ate breakfast here and enjoyed the variety of croissants and the breakfast burrito was great! Food was warm but not hot but it was still delicious and we debated getting a cookie for breakfast too since they looked so good!
