The Rookery Cafe's menu transitions from bakery breakfast into lovely lunch offerings and then segues into a variety of dinner pairings. It is the latter with which I am most enamored. Dinner...perfect...in every way....menu, flavors, portion sizes, service, atmosphere...been waiting a long time for something this divine to arrive in Juneau. Rookery dinner will appeal to local coterie clad in typical rain forest couture looking to meld into a relaxing evening out (best to leave the children at home). Thank you very much for cooking up a delicious fine dining experience in Alaska’s capital!

Best coffee shop in Juneau in my opinion. The barista who made my coffee drink was super friendly and seemed to enjoy his job.

What a find, we were walking around downtown Juneau haphazardly looking for a coffee place, when the Rookery caught our attention, we ventured in - two cappuccino's ordered, and a few minutes later - huge smiles of satisfaction!
We both agreed - best coffee since New Zealand (2010).
When the remainder of our party (4) arrived in Juneau it was a daily ritual for 4 days. Their desserts were equally as good - yummy.

I wish there were more Rookery's!!

I discovered the Rookery over a year ago and haven't been able to stay away since. Fabulous lattes and ever expanding menu. Calzones are delicious as well as breakfast burrito and scones.

Great food, but if you order one of the excellent breakfast burritos, expect a 40-minute wait. Grab the local paper off the stack in the front and see what's of concern to the locals.

I am glad you enjoyed your burrito, even after such a long wait. We make everything in the cafe from scratch, and sometimes that can take a while depending on what might be going on in the kitchen. Generally the burritos are ready within a few minutes if they are not ready to go immediately. Thanks for coming in!
