I have read all the other reviews and agree with them 100%. We had such a great time on our cruise to Alaska, but this was by far the best experience - the helicopter and dog sledding combo. The price was better than the cruise ship (saved about $100 each). There were plenty of friendly staff to help along the way. Everyone was very professional. I was most excited about sledding with Sebastian Schnuelle - multi-year Iditarod musher. He was so informative, and really made the experience fantastic. My 5-yr old son loved the helicopter ride and dog sledding - it was his favorite part of the trip as well. We even saw a local couple who were riding up to the glacier to get married. This company is the local's choice. I would highly recommend taking this tour . You will love it!

I got a price for a dogsled helicopter tour that was $100 cheaper per person than booking the same tour through the cruise line. The booking was easy and when I got off the cruise the van was there to pick me up at the time it was supposed to be.

The actual tour was amazing. I had a window seat going over the glacier and the view was totally out of control. I can't even really describe it in words. We landed on the glacier and got to see the camp a bit before going on the dogsled ride. I stood on the back of the sled and when the dogs took off it was such a rush. We rode around for a while then came back and pet the dogs for a while. After that the helicopter came and brought us back to town. It was really a highlight of the whole cruise.

The only thing I would do different is to combine this tour with the whale watching. I heard that the whale watching in Juneau is some of the best in the world and the other people on the cruise who did it couldn't stop raving about it. The saw groups of whales bubble feeding, etc.

The helicopter flight and dog sledding was the highlight of our Alaskan cruise. On both the helicopter ride to the dog camp and return, the pilots were very informative, pointing out lots of things and taking us close to see various things. The first pilot had heard that mountain goats could be seen at the top of one ridge, so he flew us that way so that we could see them. On the way back, the second pilot took us low enough to see how large the boulders across the glacier really were. But of course, the dogs and sledding ultimately stole the show. Our musher was very informative, talking about what she does and how the whole dog sledding racing thing works. While she has not run the Iditarod yet, some of the other mushers there had. It was fun to hear what she has to go through to get to that point - in fact she has qualified to run it, she now needs to get the finances to put a team together. The dogs were all incredibly friendly, allowing us to pet them while others howled or barked to have us come get them. They leaned, licked, jumped - all the things excited dogs will do. All four of us took turns being the musher including my two daughters, 11 and 15 (of course, the real musher is the worker, but we did get to stand at the back of the sled and pretend). I never felt rushed to move on. We had lots of time to ride and mush and be with the dogs and talk with the mushers. Coastal Helicopters and their associated dog camp were fantastic. They workers on the ground were nice enough to point out to us before we went, that due to that day being very uncharacteristically sunny, that most of the layers of clothes we were wearing would not be needed that day, and thus we could leave them down in the lockers without having to worry about freezing up on the glacier. Highly recommended and the highlight of our trip.

Fly up to the top of a glacier, go dogsledding with Sebastian Schnuel and his crew - a real Iditarod musher!
The flight is good, but the experience on the glacier is fantastic. The dogs and the sled ride are worth every cent you pay.
We got stuck for a few hours and spent more time in the kitchen tent, getting a real taste of life on the Glacier. The pilot was very professional and flew us out once it was safe(shame - a night on the glacier would have made a great story).
Very professional, great fun - highly recommended!

There is not word to describe the incredible experience of the DOG SLED TOUR, this was by far the best experience in our entire life.. Please if you are in Juneau don't miss this tour, the pleople that takes care of the dogs and actully life there with them were super nice and took the time to show us everything around without any rush, we did ride the dogs for about 4 miles and the view around us was like something from a movie UNREAL...
