My wife and I did an Alaskan cruise for our 10th wedding anniversary. While in Juneau we hiked up the Mount Roberts Trail to the top of the tram station. It probably took us about 2 hours from the dock to the top. The trailhead is fairly easy to find. The weather was nice, but cool for early June, we didn't get rained on. The trail is steep in spots and not always the easiest to follow. Beautiful though as most of Alaska is. Muddy and then snowy as you gain elevation. Had to follow the trail tape on trees as you get close to the top as the trail was completely covered in snow. You should be in good shape to do this hike, you don't have to be an olympic athlete to do it. When you by $10 worth of stuff in the gift shop you can ride down for free. Well worth the savings, you get some great exercise, and get to see the forest that most people miss.
