Great tour. Comfy and speedy boat, friendly staff, lots of whales including a pod of 11 Orcas, which we had never seen before in the wild. Highly recommend them. Hats off the Rich, Matt and Hannah.

We had an amazing day in our tour and we were lucky enough to spot some Killer whales, Hunchback whales and Seals. We took a big boat with the Captain Rich and two lovely guides: Hannah and Libby. They were funny, kind and very informative.
We totally recommend this tour with them! :)

Great Tour!! We saw about 7 humpback whales, a handful of Sea Lions, and 2 beautiful Orca's whales. The crew was exceptional, service was great.

We purchased the glacier and whale watching tour independently from Alaska Tales rather then purchase directly from our cruise ship company. Capt. Rich, Hannah, and Regina were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We saw many whales on the tour and would strongly recommend this tour if you are even in Juneau.

This was an absolutely amazing experience! Memories for a lifetime with a phenomenal backdrop.

Captain Lauren, Matt and Sarah were a fantastic crew.

I had never been whale watching and was nervous about getting seasick. I had high expectations that we would see whales and was crossing my fingers that we'd see some orcas too.

When we initially got out to where there had been reported whale sightings we saw some activity off in the distance. It was cool but not really thrilling.

Captain Lauren moved around to a few places and whale activity started picking up. We were seeing spouts and breaches in many directions.

Then I saw them! The two orcas, one is known as Captain Hook due to a curled fin. Captain Lauren headed over to them so we could get a closer look. And we definitely did! I was in Heaven! I love orcas and seeing them in the wild so close fulfilled a lifetime dream.

As we continued to photograph and watch the orcas there was a lot of excitement as humpbacks were also making an appearance. We followed the orcas for a while and then moved on to get a better look at the humpbacks.

And then it happened...and honestly NOTHING could have prepared me for what we witnessed! Aside from the absolute splendor and gorgeous scenery of Juneau which in and of itself were stunning, we experienced whale nirvana!

There were literally whales in every direction! The captain decided at one point to cut the engine and just stay put because there was so much whale activity all around us!

There came a point where we had 3 different groupings of humpback whales, the orcas, and a seal swimming around the boat all at once. We didn't know where to focus because there were so many around us.

At one point it seemed the orcas locked in on the seal and were on the hunt. Which was amazing to see! Luckily for the seal he was able to get away and lucky for us we were spared watching him become dinner.

We had a humpback swimming head on towards the boat which allowed a unique perspective. Then there was a whale that breached right next to the boat which was AWESOME! I was one of the lucky few to witness it though because there was another whale spouting on the other side of the boat.

This was obviously the absolute ideal whale watch experience and is NOT something that happens every day. But we were in the right place at the right time and that was definitely thanks to Captain Lauren and her crew and their diligence.

Thank you all for making this a true once-in-a-lifetime experience and an unforgettable Alaskan adventure!
