Was a great opportunity to explain to my 11 year old how the ecosystem works, how the history of the peninsula (trapping, fishing, introduction of non-native species) effects what you can see today.

Very nice place. My Dad was in the Aluetians during WWII and they had an exhibit dedicated to that which I enjoyed.

Homer is such a wonderful and unique town. The visitor center gives visitors a glimpse into the ocean areas of Alaska. This was our 1st of many educational stops during our Alaska vacation and set the stage for our interest in the native people and animals.

Not much in there. The attendent did give us a coupon for an attraction. There were plenty of brochures and fliers if you need them.
