Description: Alice's Champagne Palace is an iconic Homer bar and restaurant that has been in operation since 1946. It has opened under new ownership with a new chef in December 2014. We are proud of our excellent menu, full bar, and 16 beers rotating through our taps. We are especially proud of our friendly and hard-working team that makes us Homer's Living Room. We are bringing in more music and entertainment. We want to bring you Homer's best!

Prices are average for Homer. Its a comfortable, non-smoking bar with both tourists and locals. The hummus plate was tasty. The BBQ pork sandwich was exceptional. The bartender was pleasant and attentive. Free Wifi. Its the perfect place to spend a rainy afternoon.

After being delayed during a bear watching trip, we had dinner here. The special was Halibut with rice pilaf and some veggies on the side which two of the three of us ordered. The place was recommended by the flight crew people we flew with - for the live music and local fare. The place looks like an old barn on Pioneer Ave - and inside is nothing too impressive (picnic tables, etc), however... the place is frequented by locals and does have good live music. This worked for us, because we wanted a hot dinner and most places on the spit were closed by the time we returned from our flight delay. Local food, roughly $15/meal. Two of us ordered the special, and the third ordered fish and chips - good food, nothing out of the ordinary, though.

We drove by this place several times and weren't quite sure what it was. However there were tons of cars in the patking lot. The sign read GREAT FOOD, so we decided to try it. There was a pool table which no one was using, a bar, various tables, a conversation grouping, and a stage. It was Tuesday and the menu read $10 Burger & Brew. We couldn't pass up the Salmon Burger, but there were about six or so other selections, including a vegetarian burger. There is also a regular menu with sandwiches and things. Most of the people seemed to be locals just getting off work. There was a mother and her two kids. The food was good and very reasonably priced for the area. The waitress was friendly and excellent. We felt very welcome. Near the end of our meal, around 7 p.m., an amplified singer-guitarist took the stage. She started off with an Irish folk song and then proceeded to a pipular song. It was very enjoyable. We'll come back again.

We were just checking out Homer before checking in at the RV site. When we passed Alice’s Champagne in the middle of the afternoon, the parking lot was full of local vehicles so we figured it must be pretty good. They were serving ‘Burger & Beer at $10’. The burgers were specialty so you didn’t just get a plain burger at the price. It was really good food and beer at a very reasonable price. The table we chose was a long sharable table with some locals sitting at one end. We engaged them in conversation and what a treat. They are passionate about their Homer home. We enjoyed the food and company very much.

My wife and daughter walked from where we were staying to this place and they had a lot of fun. The band was quite nice and everyone was very friendly.
