Womderful view across katchmak bay and the volcanos, glaciers and mountain beyond. We stayed room 20. Lots of space and well appointed with eclectic furniture. Short walk to the beach and very nice restaurant across street.

Spent two nights here at the Inn, July 1 and 2, 2013. I like vintage and quaint. I got it. Rooms in the Inn are small but clean and quaint. Loved it. They have other larger rooms but cost was an issue for us. Staff are very helpful. I would recommend it in a heart beat.

Cute on the outside, but I was a little concerned when I walked down the narrow stairs and Hal's which looked like they were made of particle board. That said, the value was good, especially for Alaska, where hotels are by expensive. The bed was comfortable, but only a full size, and one bed in my room. The staff could not have been friendlier. There is a restaurant( steakhouse) across the street, which I did not patronize, but I would go back.

We stayed June 25th-27th 2013 and it was just perfect. Staff were very welcoming and always willing to help.

Gorgeous country room with a view of the beach from our window (we stayed in room 8 of the Driftwood Inn). Rooms were clean and tidy, serviced daily (although we chose not to) and private bathrooms a few doors down. Room has queen bed below twin (bunk style), coffee machine (Keurig), TV with GCI, alarm clock, hanging space (mini closet) and sink. WIFI available and works well. Bathroom could use a bigger shower, as there's minimal room to shuffle around inside the cubicle, despite the large bathroom size.

Overall, very good price for what you get. Would recommend to others.

Room Tip: Either street or ocean view is perfect and I recommed the queen (bottom) and twin (top) bunk configu...

We stayed here for 2 nights. The lot is level and the hookups are convenient. Getting into and out of the lot with your RV isn't very easy, though. The streets become narrow and the surrounding properties are pretty cluttered. Driftwood does have a nice view of the beach and mountains. Of all the RV sites we stayed in while traveling through Alaska, this was probably the most expensive.

We stayed at the RV park and it was nice and showers were clean. This was our second time staying there. The view is great and the sites are level but made for RV not traliers so the hookups will be on the wrong side for anything backed in.

By far one of the most beautiful views I've ever experienced. We stayed in the Bluffview lodge for 2 nights and absolutely loved the experience. We stayed on the top floor which overlooks the beach -- small patio included -- and could overlook the water and be in awe at the near 24 hour sunshine that came in June. Homer was beautiful and being a girl from Illinois where there are barely hills to speak of not to mention mountains, this was an unforgettable trip.

One thing to keep in mind -- the Bluffview lodge is spacious and you share a common kitchen downstairs, entry, living room, grill/deck, laundry, etc. with everyone else who might be staying in the lodge. Our room had plenty of space to "hang out" also but keep in mind that you need to be aware of others and courteous. We did have to be careful on the small patio connected to our room as this also crossed a window of an adjoining guest room (i.e. we had to be quiet at night). The beach was lovely and we met some locals having a bonfire on the beach, a semi-nightly occurrence. Some were fishermen and agreed to bring us fresh halibut the next day to enjoy on the grill. The people in this town are very friendly, as we found most Alaskans were.

Though I've not stayed at another hotel in Homer, I can say that this is one of the best experiences I've had in any city. The hotel staff was very kind and let us borrow whatever we needed for grilling. They were not intrusive but answered all our questions/needs. Definitely recommend staying in Homer at Bluffview lodge.
