“Sushi good...”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

My brother in law loved the sushi, my husband said he just drank that night because he's not a sushi eater...go figure. Anyway, my brother in law said it was great.

“disappointed”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

There is very little sushi on the Kenai Peninsula. I live in Kenai so was excited when many people recommended the sushi here. Although the location is lovely, and I enjoyed my gorgeous view of the bay, the sushi was not as good as what I get in Anchorage and I was disappointed.

Wow! I am very disapointed in my staff to have let you down. This is not a normal responce, most people say that we are better than Anchorage and that says alot because Anchorage is 250 miles away and people make the drive to eat here. Please come back and give us another chance.

Some of the best food and service in Homer. Go there regularly. Have never had a negative experience at this restaurant in over 3 years. Excellent diversity in the menu.

“Yum Yum and Great Service too!”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

We had planned on eating at Wasabi's, just not last night, we had reservations at another place in Homer. No point in going into details, but we sure are glad we left our original plan and ended up here. First off we were greeted, with a smile, by the bartender (who can make a mean ginger martini) and seated by the windows. The view was great but once we started eating I would have looked at a brick wall and been happy! The food was good, the side vegetables that were in season were a little cold when they arrived, but I'm not going to split hairs. The duck (which I had) was amazing and the filet (that my hubby had) was so tender you could cut it with a fork. The sushi was good, the head chef was very knowledgeable on all things fish and sushi (we love sushi and we are fishermen, so we aren't easily impressed)! The place was very clean..bathrooms spotless...floors very clean for rainy old Alaska. But what made our evening was the spot on service. Jas was good. Wasabi's should pat themselves on the shoulder for hiring her. Even if everything hadn't been wonderful (which it was) her level of service and genuine friendliness would have gone a long way. If you are looking for a great meal and a good time, you must stop at Wasabi's in Homer.

Glad your evening with us was memorable. Yes our steak is good and tender that's what one should expect from Certified Angus Beff "Prime" cuts. Please come back so we can colect that coveted fith point.

“go for sushi”
Reviewed September 16, 2012

There were 2 very large parties celebrating 2 weddings - very busy night. Our hostess (the owner we discovered) suggested just ordering sushi since the sushi chef was not as busy as the kitchen staff. Great idea! She also recommended an octopus dish that was the best on the table. We ordered a couple of rolls, but they weren't as good as the sushi. The restaurant is a bit of a way beyond town, but traffic is non-existent so we had no issues with the pretty drive. The dining room has lovely glacier/bay views.

Next time you will have to get some hot food i'm told it is outstanding and no one comes close to the creativity. The menu changes every week to keep fresh product and keep our regulars from becoming board with it, plus it's fun to keep with new trends. Give us another chance to earn the fith foint.
