I spent a lot of time researching hotels/motels/ lodges when planning our trip to Denali. When I decided on Healy (about 20 minutes from the entrance to Denali) I saw that EarthSong Lodge had good reviews. We booked a cabin for our family of four for two nights in Aug. 2013. The one bedroom cabins were comfortable and warm for our short visit. Jon & Karen were nice & we saw Jon's slide show of Denali the first evening. We also did the dog tour on our last morning before checking out. The kids enjoyed this tremendously. The lodge is a short drive to Denali Park where we did the bus tour & saw tons of wildlife. Would definitely recommend Earthsong Lodge to anyone looking for a clean, quiet, comfortable place to stay when visiting Denali.

Our experience at This wonderful lodge surpassed our expectations. Jon and Karen couldn't be nicer. Extremely knowledgeable and personable, they immediately made us feel welcome. The cabin was cozy and comfortable. The view is spectacular. The visit with the dogs was delightful and the other guests we met were friendly and interesting. We lived staying here. Some good restaurants are nearby and the drive to Denali was fine. It was good being away from the commercialism of entrance to the Park. It's such a pleasure to get away from Corporate America!!!

My son wanted to visit the Stampede Trail due to his love of "Into the Wild." We had one night after Denali and selected Earthsong in order to experience a bit of the trail. Although hoping to do an ATV ride on the trail, we decided to not since you can't really get that far. Saw the imitation bus at the Denali Brewery so that was good. The queen suite cabin was a cute cabin although the European couch did not make for a comfortable bed for my son. It was windy and a short stay but I would recommend it if your are looking to stay in Healy. Not much to see in Healy otherwise.

I agree with the prior reviews. It has been a unique experience staying here with our family of 4. The cabins are clean and comfortable (if colder - try to figure out the heat early on). Definitely got the cabin experience we wanted.

Henry's coffee shop has potential but wasn't open much at night due to the cooks absence. We enjoyed it for breakfast. John was working hard to keep it open for the guests which I thought was important

We had one clear morning and the view was special enough to add the pic here.

The place - and John - were at their best however with the dog kennel tour. We spent an hour with the ~22 dogs and John patiently answered all of our questions. The dogs were so friendly and beautiful - and we're are not dig owners ourselves. The kids felt this was a true highlight of our stay in denali - and I agree!

For our family - and each family is different - to make this a 5 star stay: wifi in the cabin and having the coffee shop open as a convenient dinner option.

Highly recommend.

We stayed here in June 2010 so this is a tardy review. Our first double rainbow can never forget it! It was at 10:30 at night and the sun was still shining. This is quality Alaska lodging and affordable. Would go back in a heartbeat.
