“Would stay again in a heartbeat”

After reading many reviews we chose this B&B over staying in the glitter gulch area of Denali. We're glad we did, and suggest you do the same. The three rooms we had were wonderful and the view from the deck was about as wonderful a view as you could wish for. You're about a fifteen minute drive north of Denali, and can actually walk to a fairly decent meal. There is a shared washing machine and dryer in the hallway which can make for light packing. The place is clean as can be and is a real well run operation.

Be advised there is an older home with LOTS of heavy machinery in the yard, at the top of the driveway to the inn, and it can give you a start if you don't expect it. Our friends who arrived before us thought in a moment of panic that that was the inn.

Once they drove further they became very relieved. Once they saw their room they were elated. Continental breakfast is fine and in your fridge when you arrive. I would recommend getting your lunch at the gulch the day before Denali, rather than go with the bagged the innprovides. While it is convienient, the choices are limited.

On our next trip to Alaska (and there will be a next one) we will definately be staying here again. Go there. trust me.

This was a perfect place to end our trip after a week long cruise. It was nice to be away from the crowd at glitter gulch. We had two a joining rooms. One room had a balcony, that we enjoyed every afternoon with a few Alaskan Ambers. We could watch otters in the lake and snow shoe hares in the grass below. Never got to see a moose, although, it seamed that everyother entry in the guest book mentioned a sighting. Oh well, maybe next time. The frig was well stocked with food for the morning. The kichen had a real wine glasses, coffee cups and a full size coffee maker. The sack lunch was perfect for the trip into Denali. They give you a list of things to check off. hint: you can select as many meat types as you want, and they will put them all on the sandwich. Best part was the location, just down the dirt road from the Black Diamond Grill, where we enjoyed dinner everynight. The only item needed to make it beyond perfect would be a sleep mask. Never got dark, welcome to Alaskan summer time, and they do not have black out drapes.

My wife and I stayed at the Denali LakeView Inn for two nights during our trip to Denali National Park. Its about 10 miles north of the park entrance, but is located right on the lake with very nice views. The rooms are big, nicely maintained with a homely feel to them. You don't really "meet" anyone in this "B&B", but we didn't mind that. Breakfast was left in the room and that was very helpful to catch early morning bus into the Park. Overall an excellent option to consider when visiting Denali. The Inn is a little off the road and there are no clear boards that point you in the direction. When you see a "AAA Approved" board (on your left, after you cross the golf course), make a left turn and drive 30 seconds and the you will see it.

My husband and I finally made it out to Healy Alaska! This Bed&Breakfast/Inn was the best choice! The rooms were so clean, roomy and the view was just outstanding!
We made it down there for the first snow fall of the year, so that just made the "Alaskan-get-away" that much more real.
I loved the jet stream tub, the porch and the beds were so comfortable!
This places would be spectacular all year round! I can't wait to go back.

My husband was on his R&R from Afganastan. This was an extremely clean and comfortable Inn. It overlooks a beautiful lake with mountains all around. Outside the hustle and bustle of Denali. Very quite. It rained the day before so when we woke up, all the mountains were covered in fresh snow. It was so beautiful. Park ranger said it was the first crystal clear day since April. Great trip into Denali and a wonderful place to come back to after a long day. Would highly recommend this place to everyone.

After planning our Alaska trip for one year, staying in Denali Lakeview Inn for two nights was a big disappointment. I thought this was going to be a wonderful place for my family to stay but, after staying at five other places in Alaska, this was our least favorite and the only place we found to be actually dirty.

As described by others, the service was impersonal, the breakfast was awful and the bathtub/jacuzzi was actually filthy, which my daughter discovered AFTER she got into it. In addition, the towels were rough and old, some with bleach stains. Housekeeping, if it exists, didn't do anything while we were out except put the next day's breakfast in the fridge and make the bed; dishes from breakfast were left and cereal used was not replenished.

As noted by others, the breakfast was nothing to write home about and the box lunch we paid for was just okay, although the young lady who fixed it was very sweet and accommodating.

The view, which was awesome, was the only thing that I would recommend. I felt the web site portrayed this place as much more upscale than it really was.

Just another note... I guess the custom in Alaska is to remove your shoes when visiting someone's home, but I found it to be a royal pain and an imposition when paying for accommodations (and paying quite a lot) at a hotel or inn where you are going in and out with luggage etc. Don't expect your guests to worry about keeping your floors clean especially when you don't bother to clean the tub between guests!

We took a 4 week road trip and this was the best place we stayed during the entire trip. We loved it there. The rooms are quiet, cozy, comfortable and the views were awesome. I would live there if I could :-)
