First of all, the RV sites are not level at all. We had to move to another site and it was as unlevel as the first site. Wifi worked at one, not the other. One of the reasons why we stayed was because of the shuttle into Denali. Two of the drivers were excellent. Today's driver (the guy mentioned by other reviewers) was texting, taking his hands off the wheel as he laughed with his friends, made fun of other drivers, and then took a 20 minute detour to drop his friends off at a birthday party. Finally, getting to your site is not easy. They gave wrong directions. Just imagine going down the road the wrong way to get to your site. Not easy to turn around.

The two staff that were on duty were inexperienced students from another country here for the summer. Nice kids, but they didn't know what AAA or Good Sam are so of course no discount. The manager was not on the premises. They said they were frequently left on their own, and the manager never said where is was going or when he'd be back. I should have left then, but I was tired. The office is on the same level as the street, and is located inside the gas station. The campground is behind and below the gas station. The gravel roads no longer have much gravel and are poorly maintained. Most of the picnic tables are broken. The stairs that led to the showers and laundry are no longer there. You now have to walk up the muddy hill. They may be in the process of replacing them, but I saw no work being done. Trash did finally get pickup up the 3rd day I was there. I doubt they still have the shuttle to the park as I was not given any information about it. Sites are sort of level, but poorly maintained. The only plus is that being located at a lower level that the highway, road noise is minimal.

After a long drive from anchorage we arrived at Mckinley RV park having paid for a site with electricity and water that the water had been turned off a couple days before. No notification at all, prior notification would have given us the chance to pack enough water for the trip. After filling up what water jugs we had we procedded to the site to find it occupied by another RV, after returning to the office and very little help provided by the person there they assigned us another site. I called management but they did not return my call. Their website is very deceiving, looks nice till you get there. Is very run down without competent employees and management that does not care.

40.00 a night (tax included) I expected 5 star accommodation's. The bathrooms located on the ground level with the RV's and tents are of filth, dirt, blood, garbage and disgust, so your alternative is to access one of two ways up a hill of 150 feet, to the "clean" bathrooms and laundry. Cement stairs with no railing, or wooden stairs and praying before you step on each one because you know the boards are going to break any minute. Garbage barrels throughout the site filled with miscellaneous crap that has not been emptied in weeks. The women's restroom garbage had not been emptied in weeks. $7.50 for a full load of laundry and $4.50 for showers. Stay somewhere else.

Room Tip: My tip to future travelers? Keep on truckin'! Do not stay here!

After a really exhausting biketrip we finally arrived at McKinley RV-Park. really disappointing, extrem wrecked and dirty restrooms in the camp area, no real tent spots, just dusty area underneath trees, no waterspot for tenters, employees friendly but definitely uninterested in their guests and in what their campground is looking like!

Room Tip: We can really recommend the RV-Park in Nenana and the Riley Creek Campground in Denali National Park!
