Stillpoint is situated in one of the most beautiful locations in Alaska. The lodge, cabins, and trails artfully complement the setting. Food is from the lovely garden and surrounding sea. It is wonderfully and thoughtfully prepared. I have attended two seminars at Stillpoint and look forward to a third. Pricing is very reasonable.

Thank you for your patronage and the blessings of this review. We appreciate you taking the time to write about us.

We love to hear that guests appreciate our garden because growing our own food if one of our favorite things to do! We are currently expanding our gardening production to include more opportunities for self-sufficiency and increasing access to organic vegetables while creating even more rewarding volunteer positions, too. All of these efforts help us to keep our prices reasonable for our guests and to fulfill our mission: "To provide a peaceful place to reconnect with ourselves, nature and a source beyond ourselves."

Warm Regards,
~Beka

My wife and I recently spent three nights at the Hermitage. The Hermitage was perfect for a couple. We had a spectacular view of the young spruce trees and the bay. Becka and Lucas were great as well as the rest of the staff and Jim/Jan the owners! The Grewingk glacier hike was beautiful, even with the windstorm that blew down dead spruce trees in our path as we hiked. Having unlimited access to Kayaks was great. Everyone in the cove was very friendly. Our only mistake was staying past Labor Day. Most everything in the cove shuts down by Labor Day.

Note that the bathroom in the Hermitage has a composting toilet, not a flush toilet. Not a problem for us.

Room Tip: The Hermitage is the only cabin that has a small kitchen. Some small pots and pans but nothing for c...

I attended Jan Thurston’s “Waking Up To This Day” at Stillpoint Lodge in Halibut Cove, August23-26. Without a doubt, this retreat was the most rejuvenating and insightful retreat that I have ever attended. The sessions were very meaningful and relevant and were guided by Jan’s excellent facilitator skills. The healthy meals were exceptional and tastefully prepared and presented. The Lodge and cabins are surrounded by the beautiful natural environment. If you desire a place to regain your senses, take in nature at its finest, kayak, hike, attend a workshop, eat gourmet food, relax, and/or find peace and serenity, look no farther than Stillpoint Lodge.

I've been to Stillpoint twice now, and come away refreshed and rejuvenated. The peaceful setting just infuses your whole body, calms your pulse and settles your mind. The wonderful food, the attentive care, and the mindfulness of Jim, Jan and the staff makes you feel like you are the most special person ever.

It was wonderful to have you as our guest at our Awakening the Muse retreat. It was such a nice experience for me to witness your surprise and excitement of being here. Your family gave you such a wonderful Mother's Day gift to attend this retreat. What a blessing!
We hope to welcome you here again someday soon.

I spent the weekend at Stillpoint immersed in the natural landscape that surrounded the area. We were offered unlimited access to kayaks including training to those of us that never kayaked before, in the serene cove. The meals were all included and were deliciously orchestrated including fresh organic produce from the garden and local seafood. The creativity of the lodge owner dazzled the interior of the lodge. Babbling brooks and elegant peaceful paintings highlighted the walls, while windows stretched high and eagles soared around the exterior. I highly recommend spending a retreat at Stillpoint. For me, it was for Awakening my Muse as an artist, and there are lots of options including nature retreats that include glacial kayaking and hikes. Treat youself! Enjoy!

I have visited the Stillpoint Lodge before and thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of the location, the gracious hospitality of the staff, and fabulous meals prepared from local seafood vendors, and the Stillpoint's own flourishing garden. Coming for 3 day retreat was simply an "over the top" experience. It is the perfect location to find inspiration, peace, deep relaxation, creativity, joy, connection with others and nature. Whether you desire personal time alone in the "Hermitage" or a time of learning and growing with others, the Stillpoint Lodge is the perfect choice to find yourself nourished in body, soul, and spirit!

Room Tip: Every cabin has a spectacular view of Halibut Cove.
