We spent a week in Haines, sampling every restaurant there (there are few good ones). We were fortunate to be served by Jessie, who we had met earlier at the Haines-Scagway fast ferry location. She is a dream person who attends to your every need. We began our meal with the green apple caramelized flatbread along with a caesar salad. We each ordered the crab encrusted halibut and were served an ample portion cooked to perfection. Coffee completed our meal. This is not an inexpensive place to eat (bill $91.00) but is certainly equal to the meals we had in Juneau for the same price. Too bad we ate here the last night of our trip, for we certainly would have gone back.
