On a grey afternoon, we spent an hour or so walking the two levels of the Sheldon Museum in Haines. It was very interesting to see how various cultures make Haines what it is today. The displays are nicely arranged, and there is plenty of written information to read as you walk through at your own pace. Whether it is art, actual clothing, old photos, or other historical items; the museum has a lovely collection on display.
There is a lovely gift shop up on the upper floor, to browse through. If you are in Haines on a rainy day, this will be a great way to spend some time. Outside they are currently having a totem pole being carved.
