This lovely alpine style diner can be found 33 miles out of Haines on the Haines Highway heading towards the Canadian border. Lovely big filling breakfasts after a heavy night in Haines to cure your hang over. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, especially Shannon. Great burgers, sandwiches, coffee (permanently topped up), beers and gas station outside to boot.
It's so popular I even saw two patrons fly in and park their little by planes outside!! Beautiful surroundings where you get to see hummingbirds, grizzlies and moose outside. I LOVE this place!!

Really good burgers in a small place along the highway. Everyone in my party enjoyed the food and the prices were better than in Haines. There is a lot of interesting decor for the tourist crowd to check out.

If you are headed towards the border, wait to eat until you get to the 33 Mile Road House.

We often go to haines from Yukon and couple times a year stop in at 33 mile. Really neat atmosphere with cool whale bones up inside, large yummy portions, and in spring kind of neat to watch helicopters coming and going for heli-skiers. My only complaint is last couple times the service has been awful - not really rude or anything, just not paying attention and feel like you are kind of putting the person out to ask for basics like silverware. But otherwise, highly recommend it!

We visited twice it was so good. The super 33 mile burger was huge and very good! On the second trip we had the steak and shrimp which was also very good. It was worth the drive for the food. The cabin type atmosphere inside was also very nice.

Had read that their cinnamon/sticky buns were supposed to be amazing. They were fresh, they were big, we inhaled them it seemed, but I wouldn't say they were the best I'd ever had. We did try both the plain and pecan buns, and they were equally good... just not great. Maybe if they'd been heated a bit.
The restaurant is located in a place to get traffic - that's the only place to stop in miles. Found the owner friendly but somewhat overworked.
