One of two pizza restaurants in the little town of Craig, AK, Papa's Pizza is owned by local entrepreneur Ken Owen, who also happens to own Dreamcatchers B&B. Papa's hours of operation are much more accommodating than their competition's, so you'll find them open much more often, and for longer hours, than the "other guys". Papa's has the usual pizza place fare, but also some interesting and adventurous topping combinations (I'm a big fan of the North Carolina Blue with steak and blue cheese). This establishment isn't licensed, with means you're limited to non-alcoholic beverages, but this is a conscious choice by the proprietor, and it makes the place a lot more family friendly than it would be if they served beer. It's staffed mostly with local high school kids, but service was prompt and polite. Like all food in Alaska, it's not cheap, but then, it's also tasty, so the price doesn't hurt quite so much. All in all, I recommend you give Papa's a try when you're on Prince of Wales Island.
