“Great food in Cordova”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2012

I really enjoyed this restaurant! The service was great and the food was delicious. Of course, this is Alaska so don't expect vegetarian offerings (I've become a pescatarian since covering Alaska for work). The Salmon is always great here and they have a great selection of beers. It is "pricey" I suppose if you are not used to Alaska prices but comparatively it is on par with nice establishments in Alaska. Remember, outside of seafood, almost everything else has to be shipped in...

“Pricey, but nice view of the harbor”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2012

Food is delicious, but a little pricey. Well worth it though, since you have a great view overlooking the harbor. On a nice clear day, nothing better than enjoying a great meal with that view! Good atmosphere as well! Great place to celebrate a birthday dinner or any special occassion

“Gormet in Cordova; OK for GF”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2012

A place for a 'gourmet' meal in Cordova. Ample portions, decent wine list, outdoor seating --- it's a place to relax and unwind, especially on the patio in the summer. Staff was knowledgable or at least willing to ask rather than make up answers regarding allergens, etc. (brought out cucumber slices so a gluten-intolerant patron could enjoy the smoked-salmon dip hors d'oevre). Grilled King Salmon filet over farfalle with pesto was huge and delicious (made a good leftover lunch! and, well, OK we were the in salmon season...), the 'green halibut' (herbed/grilled amazing fresh halibut steak with a drizzle of pesto, peas, and perfectly cooked asparagus) was worthy of a New York critic. "Alaskan-style" clam chowder was very very rich and its bacon & cream meant it was loved by even my seafood-adverse son (1 bowl was plenty for 1 adult + 2 tweens as an appetizer). The Chocolate Avalanche Cake fed 4 people! It's *HUGE*. This is high-end dining in Cordova; it's pricy, but not out of line at all for the town (remember, Cordova = no road. Everthing is expensive). 4 entrees, 1 bowl soup, 2 drinks, 1 dessert = $150 incl. tip, but there were leftovers for 2 small lunches and dessert.

“overpriced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2012

The food can be very good or just mediocre. The wait staff and bartenders are always smiling and friendly. The last take out meal I purchased was $27.00 for one person and the food was a jumbled mess when I arrived home. Not appetizing.
