“Just a tip really - not a review”
Reviewed November 22, 2012

This is just a tip really and not a review as such as we didn't actually eat at this restaurant. However, my husband and I were recently in Rarotonga and wanted to find somewhere different for dinner to the usual a la carte / local cuisine style of dining. We were excited to find that the Rickshaw was within walking distance to our hotel on Muri Beach (along the road). We trekked there with our 3 yr old around 7pm to find a sign at the front saying 'no children after 6pm'. They are obviously trying to establish a more intimate dining experience, which was dissapointing for us. So it obviously pays to do your research first - which is why I'm writing this review to inform others with children.
We look forward to visiting this restaurant next time in Rarotong - with a booking before 6pm.

“Fabulous, affordable Vietnamese Cuisine”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

We ate here twice on our 9 day stay in Rarotonga. We would have probably gone back again, but we only found out how good it was on our second last night. Its a small little place on the main road that looks pretty rustic from the outside. Inside you feel like you could almost be in Asia with the glassless windows letting the outside in. There is seating outside as well.

The food seemed pretty authentic. I have often been disappointed with so-called Vietnamese cuisine, but not this time. The vegatarian fresh spring rolls were divine, enough corander and mint. The highlight for me was the ginger fish dish - highly recommended. The green pawpaw salad was divine and they do a very good pad thai - not too greasy and full of spicy goodness!!

Will definitely go back on my next trip to Rarotonga. Eating out is not cheap on the island, but this place offers relatively good value for money.

“Tasty Food”
Reviewed October 13, 2012

Had heard this place was good - and we weren't disappointed. We had a selection of dishes between the 6 of us, and every one was tasty, well presented; good table and drink service. Highly recommend.
