Owner description: Reachable by hiking trail or four-wheel vehicle, Rarotonga's only fall is also known as Papua Waterfall, because water from the Papua stream spills down the cliff into a beautiful swimming hole.

This was somewhat devoid of water despite recent rain, sort of scruffy and dishevelled. good access point for cross island walk and despite what the signs say I would start here so the uphill is the wet section.
:-(

The waterfall has disappeared since last visited about 17 years ago. No water left, very little pool at the bottom. I guess Rarotonga has had a dry spell.
Interestingly the road is not sign-posted, I would assume this is because it is no longer a tourist attraction worthy of mention.

This is a relatively small but beautiful waterfall in a tropical rainforest setting and worth a visit if it has rained recently but probably not worth the effort if it has been dry. We visited in the dry season but it had been unusually wet with quite a bit of rain overnight. Even so, the volume of water flowing over the falls was not that great so I can imagine that it dries to a trickle or less quickly during dry spells. If you visit, be prepared with bug spray as the mosquitoes were more abundant here than anywhere else we visited on the island.

This does not qualify as a waterfall - maybe there hasn't been much rain but really even if there was it's not worth the visit. The whole area looked neglected with rubbish thrown around. Waste of time - should have just stayed snorkeling!

Maybe it is the time of year, because we were getting rain on and off but there was no waterfall just a pool at the bottom. Everyone was quick to get back on the bus, this is not worth the trip up this dirt road.
