This beach is just gorgeous. Surrounded by great bars, cafes and restaurants. Can do a lagoon cruise, night snorkelling and lots of swimming. A must if in Rarotonga

Stayed here for 7 nights. Controlled in the lagoon every day. Best experience ever. Large range of fish to be seen and super easy and safe access.

Waters are calm and clear, perfect for swimming, snorkelling, stand-up paddle board, kayaking. Great place to laze round and people watch.

Unfortunately Muri is suffering the consequences of tourism & over exploitation. The lagoon / reef is affected by runoff, sewerage, etc.
It's still a great place to visit - but check the water quality before you spend time in the water.
We snorkeled and paddle-boarded - its still worth a visit, but there's other places to go
The Muri night market operates several nights a week - its very popular with locals and visitors. Take your time and enjoy the variety

Naturally, it's beautiful; commercially, its unkempt. Rubbish discarded by local traders, restaurants, etc spoil what should be a lovely scene.
