“More fish this time”
Reviewed June 16, 2014

We were here 3 years ago and disappointed with the fish life, but have noticed more fish this time. This was confirmed by the locals as well.

“Best location on Rarotonga”
Reviewed June 8, 2014

By far the best place to stay, swim, eat and relax. Staying right on Muri is a real treat. The colour of the water is beautiful. You can swim, snorkel, lay around and just take it all in. Plenty of choices for food. Great cafes - LBV is a good one. My favourite meal was at Sandals restaurant and barefoot bar at the Pacific Resort. Further down the road is the Fruits of Rarotonga they make the best burgers and toasties. Night markets were on Wed & Thurs night. Go to the little dairy store, it sells Heineken for $2.50 a bottle compared to $5 a bottle in the mini bar. There is a Westpac ATM and also an ANZ a little further down past the Pacific Resort. There is an Internet cafe to buy some cheap data and Island bike hire to get your scooter. This is our 2nd trip to Rarotonga and when we return we will definitely be staying on Muri Beach again.

We swam here most days we stayed in Muri, though it was a little windy on the days we visited, it was still warm and the children enjoyed it!
Snorkeled here a little, not too much coral, but ok for a first time snorkeler.

“Beautiful and relaxing”
Reviewed June 5, 2014

Muri beach is everyones favourite beach spot in Rarotonga, nice and quiet, beautiful clear water, and pretty little islands to look at. It is nice and safe, and you can take a snorkel and see lots of little fish in the coral, there isn't too much coral like some other spots, and it isn't too deep. We went on a lagoon cruise here for half a day and went out deeper where we could see larger fish and even a giant clam and eel! Was lots of fun and is a must see in Rarotonga.

“Great night market”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

We stumbled across the night market quite by chance - seems to be a bit of a secret ! I think it is on from 5pm on Tues/Weds/Thurs/Sat nights. A good choice of cheap eats - $10 will see you eating very well. A good tent area to sit under in case it is raining. The ukulele band were excellent too.
A good fun night - worth seeking out.
