“big day out!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2014

my dad was here visiting me in raro, we tried to book a trip over xmas but the weather was too choppy to go out. this time we got there., we left just after 9 with Cam and George. what we were going to be upto during the trip was well explained and we were all looking forward to catching fish although that does not always happen. once we were out of the channel the lines went in and my dad caught the first yellow fin tuna after about 10 mins, another was caught shortly after. after a while the skipper decided to move to another location further along the coastline. the views were awesome and the boat is big enough with up and downstairs viewing. not long after moving 2 x 30kg yellow fin were struck then more 3-5kg's. in the end all of us caught fish. we got back around 230pm and George made sure we all had plenty to take home. was a great day and would recommend to anyone who loves to fish. my only advice would be not to eat too much brekky before you go out :) thanks guys

“What a great day!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2014 via mobile

Went out with my partner and another two people. These guys are awesome. We were only 20 minutes out and hooked up a huge tuna which i landed. Then lines back in and two marlin hooked up but one broke the line and the other one was landed by the other lady on the boat. Then caught several smaller tuna. Great way to spend a day. Theses guys know there stuff so you cant go wrong going out with them.

“A marlin for a wedding present”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2014

Two days after we got married in Raro we shouted the guys from our wedding out on a charter on Akura with George and his crew. They came back with a 262 kilo marlin!! Everyone was buzzing! Our guys had the best time ever on the boat! I recommend Akura to everyone who is heading to Raro! It's not just about the fishing, its also about the captain and his crew ... And they are awesome! So easy to deal with! Thanks guys for a trip that will never be forgotten! We will be back haha

“Great experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2014 via mobile

We had a half day charter out with Captain George a few days after our wedding in May 2012 and we had a great day. There is a lot of great stories to be told while cruising and waiting for the bite and when you hook up the team are slick and know what to do. We ended up catching an estimated 40 kg yellowfin and a nice wahoo. I would love to have weighed the yellowfin but they did not do that much back then. They do this now however and boy they have weighed a few spectacular fish recently! We are heading back in July this year for a few half day charters and it can't come a moment too soon
