The crew was great, really friendly and knowledgeable. Our group of 4 was mixed in tems of experience, but no matter what experience you had the crew made sure you were well taken care of.

The catering on the boat was plentiful and the quality of the food great.

The boat and equipment were in excellent condition.

I highly recommend this charter company.

Went out with a few friends for 5-hour fishing trip with the Seafari guys. Not being very experienced with this kind of fishing I wasn't sure how I'd get on, but Trent was good explaining stuff. Also really interesting to see some of the closely-guarded local fishing techniques.
Was stoked to land a good-sized yellowfin tuna, which was served up as some tasty sashimi when we got back to the harbour. All up, the guys were friendly, patient and knowledgeable - cheers!

Thanks to team Seafari, Sharon, Kevin(skipper/owner) and Trent (deckhand), my wife Sonya and I had a great day as first timers to game fishing. Although Sonya didn't fish due to recovering from a broken arm, she said that she still had a great day. We left from the port at Rarotanga at 6am and within an hour we were into the area we needed to be hooking up. The sea conditions weren't great, but the sunrise and the fishing made it overall a fantastic day. Thanks heaps.

We had a great time. The skipper (Kevin) and deck hand ( Trent) are very friendly, easy going and explain what to do so it makes it easy and a pleasure. We caught 2 very good sized fish, 1x wahoo & 1x tuna so these guys know how to find the fish & then help you catch it. We didn't expect it but the skippers wife made us a fantastic lunch and they didn't charge us for it - a real bonus. What we also didn't know at the time was that they will collect you from where you are staying if there is a group of you, I think 2 or 3. The boat is one of the larger charter launches and accommodates 4 people game fishing easily. Very good value for the 4 of us at $150 per angler. I certainly recommend u try Seafari Charters we will be going back.

Went out on a nice day and a nice boat, we had hoped to be able to use some of our own gear to fish for what are really small tuna, but even though we were told this would be ok, there was never a chance to do this as all we did was drive around the ocean all day towing lures for Mahi mahi, the gear was all good quality, but very much an over kill trolling with Tiagra 130w reels, not everyone is a tourist that hasnt caught a fish before, but once we were back on the dock it all becomes clear why, when any fish nice to eat is photgraphed and then sold to restaurants so you can then pay for it again, being given a skipjack tuna to take home was just the final insult to the day, we both know they couldnt sell it to a restuarant so instead of using it for bait, our crew were told its nice to eat fresh, CRAP its bait and tastes like bait.
Wouldnt pay $1000 to take bait home again
