“Great F & C with an awesome view”
Reviewed November 15, 2010

We had a seafood platter ($17 I think??) which we shared between 2 adults. There was plenty and the food was beautiful. Sitting under cover with the wonderful view was great. Well recommended for a lazy holiday meal.

“Awesome food and cheap drinks next door”
Reviewed November 7, 2010

After a long and tiring flight we chose to eat here rather than fix something at our rental. Previous reviews had put this place on my list of places to eat and we weren't disappointed. The fish was so fresh it just melted in our mouths. Combine this with the rock bottom happy hour drinks prices at the Fishing club next door and we were in hog heaven. Both of us were constantly going 'yum' with every bite. Fish and chips for two came to $20 and a wine and beer from the club was $6. Yes, that is $6!!!! A couple sat down after us and ordered what looked like a mixed seafood plate which also looked very tasty. The Flying Boat has yummy food and is certainly great value. It was one of my favourite places and the perfect place to visit on our first night in Rarotonga. We sat at the picnic tables overlooking the beach and jsut soaked up the Rarotonga experience.

“Very Affordable”
Reviewed October 30, 2010

This was the least expensive meal we had while in Rarotonga. We both ordered the fish and chips and a bottle of water and it cost only $9. I had to double check with the person who took our order to be sure he was fixing two orders. The food was good, although a little greasy. It's in a boat on the beach with picnic tables to eat at. Very unique. It was a little hard to find, because it's not well marked on the road. Certainly worth the effort to find it.

“Delicious fish n chips right on the beach”
Reviewed October 28, 2010

Had heard about Flying Boat, and wasn't disappointed. Great place to bring the family for yummy fish and chips while overlooking the ocean. Kids can play on the rocky beach while you wait. Great little place, it is actually a boat! Fish melted in your mouth, and chips were just right. Also enjoyed a cold beer which we got from the Fishing Club right next door.

“Yummy fish and chips”
Reviewed October 4, 2010

We enjoyed our meal here. Great little spot which is very relaxed and very good value.

The fish and chips were excellent, as were the hamburgers.

The only downside of the night was the length of time it took for the food to arrive. 70 mins from ordering to receiving food is a very long time when you have two starving children. I can only guess that something was going wrong in the kitchen because fellow travellers I spoke with were surprised as when they visited the food was very quick.

I'd give them another go.
