We stayed 1 night here and found the cabin we were in to be clean and that's what counts. The washroom was a little small but I try not to spend too much time in there anyway lol.

The place is located close to a nice hiking trail in the park and the staff were very friendly and asked how everything was. There was a live band at night at the bar/restaurant and they were loud but actually pretty good (didn't go to watch them but could hear the music).

The food in the restaurant was very good (see other reviews) and I would recommend this place. Clean and friendly...what more do you want.

Room tip: Try the restaurant!

We stayed at the Russian River campgrounds just a block or so farther down Sterling Highway. This store was very convenient for us. We went there for ice but we ended up with much more! First of all, we started in the liquor store part. They had a surprisingly variety of beers and liquors. We specifically wanted a beer from an Alaskan brewery and they had it. Next door to the liquor store is a gift shop. They sell all kinds of souvenirs: T shirts, mugs, baby items, jewelry, food, etc. I bought a pair of blue Forget-Me-Not earrings. Forget-Me-Not is the Alaska state flower. It was the perfect souvenir for me. Now, the item I thought was really smart was the rental bear spray. It was priced by the day or week if I recall correctly. I think it was $5.00 per day. We were with local Alaskans so we had bear spray with us but the casual visitor probably does not want to buy bear spray at $45 - $55 per can. We went fishing early one morning and the fisherman coming away from the river as we were going had seen a bear a few minutes before. This is an area where one can expect a bear to pop up any where. The personnel at the store were pleasant and the location could not be beat. Stop here you will probably find something you want.

We stayed around 11 days because we came to Coopers Landing to fish. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. A peaceful and beautiful setting. Everything we needed was right there. The accommodations were perfect. Can't wait to come back next year.

Room tip: Rooms are adequate.

I was very impressed that the housekeeper took the time to come introduce herself and chat. Despite minor hiccups with the reservation, the staff promptly corrected the situation and was very accommodating from start to finish. Absolutely beautiful surrounding and a very short drive from nearby trailheads.

We booked 2 nights at Qwins Lodge and the accommodations were pleasant and the cabin cute and roomy. We knew there would be music that evening,we were told in advance that it would end at midnight. Well the LOUD music continued until 2:30 AM!!
Needless to say we were very upset and disappointed. In the morning we went to the front desk to complain and were told that they had no control over when the venue ends. How can they not have control over this? If folks knew in advance that this NOISE would continue into the wee hours of morn no one would stay here! Needless to say we checked out for fitting our $230.00. Stay at Qwins Lodge if you care not to sleep there is no getting away from the music.
Disappointed, SC

Room tip: Ask to be as far away from the music venue as possible
