Description: The historic Gwin's Lodge is located in Cooper Landing in the Kenai Peninsula in south central Alaska, which is known as "Alaska's playground." We are the closest lodging near the confluence of two world-class salmon streams - the Kenai River and the Russian River. Gwin's Lodge is open seven days a week serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and has 17 cabins that can each accommodate 4 to to 6 guests with two cottage houses that can each accommodate up to 12 guests.

Stopped here on the way to Kenai. PLENTY of parking in July. Service with a smile! Extensive menu for anyone's tastes. Kids' menu as well. Coke products for drinking, plus beer, etc. Good coffee. Salmon sliders are #1 tasty, burgers a close 2nd (piled high with goodies!), onion rings are REAL, crunchy, HOT (careful!) and prices are reasonable for Alaska! Atmosphere is very authentic Alaskan!
WE LOVE THIS PLACE!

Thank you so much for the great comments and come back soon! We aim to make it the best possible and we work under more difficult circumstances than in the city so it is nice when people appreciate our efforts! Thanks!

We stopped here for a coffee and a quick snack. We chose the BBQ wings which were delicious. The food took a little too long to prepare. On the other hand they have free WiFi, the restrooms are clean and the service friendly.

Ate here 2 times. Both times it was quite delicious. Tried the burgers and sandwiches. You can also buy boxed lunches to go.

We do offer to go boxed lunches for fishing and rafting trips so thanks for mentioning that! Several people per day say this has been the best food they have had on their trip to Alaska. Thanks and come back soon!

We came in for a late lunch. The options were varied and included the ability to have your own fish cooked and served if you desired. The cookies were delicious, as was the salmon chowder. The waitress was friendly and efficient. We'll head there again sometime.

We keep a pretty big menu compared to modern menus that only offer a few things. A larger menu is hard to stock for in Alaska. We appreciate positive comments since our job has been difficult to accomplish in a seasonal restaurant in the middle of Alaska in a National Forrest. Staff live on-site so we are like our own little town here.

I stopped in here for a burger to go after a guided walk-in river trip on the Russian river. Christen took my order and was delightful. I had a local beer while I waited and she was very pleasant to talk with.
All in ll a great place to relax and eat.

Thanks for the comments. Kristen had a long fall down a steep grade at Juneau Waterfall and has made a full recovery. She will be back next year. See you then! Thank you!
