We were staying at nearby gwins lodge, and stopped in for dinner. We were expecting burgers/pub food and were pleasantly surprised to find a full menu with many creative options to choose from. The view was also awesome, we watched a bald eagle soaring above and fishing in the river below

The place was pretty busy when we arrived so we waited about 15 minutes to get our table, which was fine. The people working there were moving around like they were running a race. They were just flying from place to place and table to table. Our waitress must use the place as her workout since she was going by our table like a sprinter in a race. I had to wave down another server to get a drink as our waitress was so busy. The food was nothing better than ok and the prices were kind of high considering what we received. The fresh fish of the day was already sold out by the time that we arrived (8:30) so you better get there early. The brightest spot of the night was the live music by a lone guitarist/keyboard player. How can you go wrong with someone who can play a good cover of a Boz Scaggs song? The place came highly recommended so it may have just been an off night where they were just too busy.

Came for dinner based on recommendation from our hosts at the Inn at Tern Lake. It doesn't look much from the outside but step in to a rustic cabin setting offering a great selection of food & beverages all served with a smile. One of the best meals we ate in Alaska! The views over the Kenai River aren't all bad either.

Dominick is the proprietor & makes sure that the specials are made with fresh caught seafood. The chicken potpie is reasonably priced & yummy. The view is why you come to Alaska.

We stopped by to get some burgers and just loved the place. The food dead very good. I had the blue cheese burger and it was cooked perfectly. Their potato salad was very good. It was a little expensive but it was good. The atmosphere was great. It was a Wednesday or Thursday, karaoke night and it was very entertaining. Lots of locals at the bar.
