“I've never seen so many Sea Cucumbers in my life!”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

As we took the 45 min. flight from Raratonga to Aitutaki we approached an impossibly turquoise blue circle of water surrounded by a white fringe - welcome to paradise! The Pacific Resort was wonderful - infinity pool, restaurant with a view - beach huts complete with palm trees and hammock and canoes waiting for you to explore the reef. The highlight of our trip was the catamaran trip to three islands in the group of 15. One foot island - so called because a father protected his son from death by walking in his footprints - is the epitome of a desert island, the sort that you might be shipwrecked to in a film. The amazing thing about this island are the different types of hermit crab - they were everywhere, climbing the coconut trees, eating coconuts on the land and the heaps of sea cucumbers in every crevice and group of rocks. They were even fossilized in heaps on the beach. There was so much coral as well as clam shells and other fossilized fish. Do try to eat at Tupuna's restaurant (phone 31678) the mud crab and coconut crab are to 'die for'..........

“THE best day trip in the Cooks!”
Reviewed February 22, 2013 via mobile

This is a must for anyone coming to the Cook Islands. This is the second time my family has gone on a Bishops Cruise (last in 1995) and it hasn't failed to deliver. Aitutaki's lagoon is spectacular and this is a great way to see it.
With a delicious lunch, friendly crew and lots of time for swimming and exploring, it's access to heaven for a bargain!
P.S. Don't forget your passport!

“Nice little island to chill & snorkel”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

We did a stop here on the Teking lagoon cruise tour. Its a beautiful piece of paradise however nothing like I expected. There is literally nothing here but a sheltered hut. The tour group I was with were great so we made it fun.
